AngiexI wouldn't want to work for a big provider like that, because their licence comes with a lot of rules & regulations. That means their employees, no matter how casual they come across on air, have to work within very firm limits. Internet stations have much more freedom.

1 May (very late) - At 5pm, I had the choice of going home to have a relaxed evening or going to someone's leaving do. As I'd only just found out about the do plus I've got another to go to on Friday night, it was easy to decide to go home. However, when I got in I found a flyer that reminded me it was a special night at bingo, so off I went to that instead. And I won £200! The clothing budget has now been restored to its former glory.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

4 May - Had to have a few words with Asda this morning. I spotted a code for free home delivery on another site a few days ago, so I used that to get my shopping delivered yesterday. Everything was there, but when I had a good look this morning I noticed some of the items had an expiry date of 5 May or 6 May. In the old pre-BR days, I'd have defrosted some things that were already in the freezer to make room for the new stuff or eaten like there was no tomorrow to use the new stuff up in time. But I didn't see why I should do that, when anyone shopping for food picks the stuff with the biggest gap between shopping day & expiry date. Plus my stomach problems mean I'd be very sick if I tried eating like that now anyway. So I rang them this morning to complain, & they're going to refund me the value of all the items that expire quickly. :j Free food & a free delivery can't be bad.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

I think it being a Bank Holiday had a lot to do with what I got - they were probably trying to clear stuff off the shelves that might expire just after the Bank Holiday, to save them having to reduce the price later in the week or throw it away. Though I like Asda's prices, I do prefer Sainsbury's or Tesco for the wider range. I'll be on the lookout for free deliveries from either of them in about 6 weeks' time.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."
