Council tax is know for doing that too, chasing people 2-3 years after and most people don't keep their records for that long - I do though!

Exactly. Moorcroft letters always have "Pre-Court Division" in big bright red letters at the top, which makes those words stand out from everything else. I'm sure some people see that bit & can't think of anything else but stopping court action, when they may not even have owed the money in the first place.
I know I paid that money, but even if I did owe it at the time I don't owe it now, so I'm quite glad to have got one over Moorcroft for once.

Nice one, wdiag. Good to see 'Moorcroft' put in their place - they are so thick skinned, however, that they will probably send you a letter offering a 'sizeable' discount for settlement. :rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

13 April - Just checked the OU website - I passed my assignment! :j I'm so chuffed - there are a couple of things my tutor wants to discuss with me at the next tutorial, but basically she was very pleased with what I did & said it showed "significant ability, so be confident".

14 April - The OR's office still haven't replied to the e-mail I sent on 7 April expressing my concern that they can't find my assessment calculations - the person who said they couldn't find it wasn't my original OR, so the e-mail I sent on 7 April was addressed to him & the original OR. Rang the OR's office this morning & found out the names & telephone numbers for both of their managers, then sent another e-mail chasing up a reply to both of them as well as both managers. I know they got them, as I made sure I set up Outlook to give me delivery & read receipts. I wonder if the managers will suddenly manage to find the figures or give an explanation for them being missing.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."
