  • another vote for keeping the same please Dusty & Jue - life in the real world is rather manic just now, add in a health scare, and no time left for posting, but have tried to speed read where possible.

But, I think there is light at the end of the tunnel, so hope to post more in a couple of weeks time.

And I do try to use the lists, adapting to our house - HHC's much enjoyed by DS (he has ASD and does lists!) and the house is looking a bit better each week.

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Welcome, one and all, to the new Flyers and de-lurked lurkers. Good to have you all on board.:o For those who are concerned that they won't do "enough", there's no such thing. If you have health issues or time constraints, it's just not possible to have a pristine house - be proud of what you achieve, be it lots or just a little.;)

Mummyroysof3 (((HUG))) sorry to hear of your youngest's diagnosis; sounds like you've had an even worse weekend than I have!

Speaking of which - poor Mr LW has been tied up with work early all weekend - he even had a call at 02:00 last night! So I bit the bullet and mowed the back lawn yesterday. And boy, am I suffering for it today! Three doses of Oramorph and I'm still in agony! I hope it settles down a bit by tomorrow.

Actually, next week will be "interesting" as Mr LW is wfh Monday and Friday. And next Saturday my little friend Dilly the Westie arrives for an eight-day stay.:T

:wave:Another one coming out of lurkdom here is if helps support this excellent thread. Like some others I struggle to keep our home as clean as I would like due to ill health/energy issues that are intermittant. So I have dipped in and out lurkwise over the last year.

Another lurker poking her head above the parapet *Hi all* I've been lurking for a few weeks and haven't really been able to follow the lists daily as I'm working away from home atm, though I have been trying to catch up at weekends. Actually this thread is what persuaded me to register n stop lurking!

    :j:j Welcome Brighton belle & dragonette :T:T

You will love it here I'm sure. We have one more flylady - or maybe flylad?? - to recruit and we have our 'special 10'. Where are you?? :D

Yup I think you're right. Unless R and A were canoodling under a tarpaulin somewhere

Jojo hang on in there x

The weather forecast lied to me so I've had to finish of 3 loads of towels and bedding in the TD. I've done a bit of shopping. Unloaded the DW. Started building up bits & pieces DS will need for uni   Building up to making crispy chicken kievs.

I thought I might make a start on this - going to see if I can do it 'for free' with BOGOF stuff, soap, toothpastes and tinned etc

  • Please keep to the weekly lists with daily tasks i fear i may find a monthly list daunting and scary, i have only been flying for the last few weeks with you all but my best mate has just informed me "I've never seen this place so tidy". So all your support is obviously having a positive effect on the state of my hovel.

I agree with what i think Valli suggested perhaps a random declutter/weekend task such as the sort out of shoes etc to add a spin for those that need a bigger challange.

Sometimes i dont get chance to post as much as i like but thats because im spending less time at the pc and more time actually doing housework.:o

Well off to a bad start with zero flying from me. Simply not well enough. However, OH has been a star. Ironing mountain conquered, girls' beds stripped , washed and remade and shopping completed. I am back to hospital tomorrow to try and get to the bottom of my post op infection once and for all. Then this house will be tackled with a vengeance! Oh can't forget our 6 month old pup has assisted by kindly shredding stray tissues he has found along with a quick dining table raid. We must remember to push those dining table chairs under!

    Evening all :D

Spent an hour or so going to A&E with DD again today (in the past 8 days she's been in a hospital at some point on 5 of them ). Her cast has dropped & twisted and she woke up this morning with a blue/purple foot and the pain meds weren't working as well :( Dr there has adjusted the cast the best he can, checking the pulse in her foot, gave us a prescription for more paracetamol and told us to come back tomorrow to the plaster room as the cast needs replacing because its too loose! I'm guessing the swelling has gone down even more then :D

My dad brought us home via A1di so I could grab some groceries and now I'm concentrating on clearing the laundry which seems to be breeding! 4 loads still to go! When DD has gone to bed I'll tackle the kitchen, vacuum the livingroom again and general get the place tidied up. Off to juggle stuff around and put tea on. I'm hoping to make it to bed before 11pm tonight, but we'll have to see. :(

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
