purple kitten hope you don't freeze! where are you camping?

I also think losing weight in anticipation of the xmas food is quite a good idea. I'm sure it would be so much tastier if you'd spent the last month eating brown rice and turkey! I'm getting so excited :rotfl:

Don't worry, we have a caravan with heating so won't freeze, we are staying at a little campsite that fronts onto a beach on the Welsh coast, should be a bit err breezy.:rotfl:. Family aren't about this year it's very sparodic, so we are going to make the most of the couple of weeks and grab the chance to explore.

What a great idea ref the weight.

I was thinking about making cakes etc, but to be honest with the amount of work that goes into them I think I will be happy to pay out for it. I will make things like mince pies and shortbread.

Ah Popperwll I hope you do get to enjoy the run up to Christmas - things change but it can still be a pleasant time.

Re Cards - have had my Studuo catalogue weeks ago - but didn't need cards or wrap as I always buy my Christmas stuff in January - also got all my gifts thanks to MSE - but only small things and just money for sons.

    Thanks 7roland8,

You're probably right. I won't know what I'll be like until it happens...

    I love Christmas too!!

I thought it was just me that started insanely early with the preparations - I've bought a couple of presents already and have started thinking about hampers/HM soap/herb planters from cuttings/crafty things in general.

Looking forward to sharing ideas for a more frugal festive season :)
