    Yey Christmas!!!!!!! Love it:D

I got most cards/wrap in the Jan sales, so a lot of that is sorted.

Have just been to visit family who live at the other end of the country - managed to take all of their pressies with me in the car! Did seem a little strange wraping pressies in June! Had to take them into the families house under cover of darkness - if they had seen me I would never have heard the end of it. I stuck them in a cupbord and will just wait for the 'crazy' phoncall that I'm sure will come in the next couple of days:D

I'm guessing I will be working Christmas day this year, so will have to chat to mum about food etc, but that can be done later (shes got a lot going on at the mo).

Going to keep up with this!

Popperwell, lots of us pop on MSE on Christmas day to keep friends company who find themselves alone - we can all raise a glass together. :)

Bossymoo you are doing well and we are all here to support your plans :)

I have bought a couple of bits this week, fancy shower gel 50p in Mr A and some keep calm notebooks reduced in Mr T. Found 2 rolls of gift wrap the other day too in a corner of the living room - think I need to visit the ' declutter' thread :rotfl:

I have some paper left over from last year and a set of children's cards.

I was in card factory yesterday and thought of you all as I had a quick look to see if their Christmas stocks were appearing. No chance but I'm sure it won't be long. ;)

    Thanks Ginnyknit :xmassmile

I have a box of Christmas crackers and lots of paper and bows that will never be used, oh well...:(

Yes I'll raise a glass to you all, try to make the best of it and play all my Christmas music. I can still eat, drink and sleep.

Hopefully it will go better than I fear and I'll be positive and not on a downer.

I have quite a few pressies put by which have been bought in the sales. I always buy my cards/paper immediately after Christmas too. We were away last Christmas so didn't put up my tree as was rather old and shabby. Got a fantastic new tree 50% off on 27th December. Just had to put it up as soon as I got home. Better late than never.

I must be a Christmas Nut as I never left the christmas/special occasions board! I had a misdelivery of onions and apples in january on a catering order so made chutney and caramelised onion relish for hampers. I've still got nice bottles of vinegar so will be making more chutney and using the bottles for flavoured vodka. Wethers toffee and xmas pud vodka went down very well last year but I'm tempted by skittles vodka this year.
I have some presents and have a list on Word I add to whenever I get something else. (I have never been this organised!)
I have enough cards and wrap to last two years I should think.

Yes wehn you think of it its only a few hours really. Get up really late and have a long long soak in the bath - by the time you have breakfast then it'll be nearly tea time (have done that other days myself!).
Also have something absorbing to do - a new book, sewing, film, painting - anything that you know you can pick up if the day seems too much.
Also a service (if appropriate) would help pass the time - or a bracing walk.
Or go to so many thing in the run up that on the day you'll be exhausted and just flake out on the sofa.
