    Alex

    I had the same problem.

Onestopphoneshop tool around £200 by trickery and slight of hand. I guess they do this to thousands and get away with it.

They did it to me by misrepresenting the terms of the contract on the phone, but burrying details in the small print of the contract. Technically legal, perhaps, but immoral in any sense of the word.

It is sad that honest people are ripped off like this, and I have been considering small claims court - I'm interested in the results others have had.

    BTW

When I posted my experiences here, I received dozens of vicious, nasty and insulting posts. I see that the same has happened to you.

I assume these are CarphoneWarehouse employees. They were obviously from people inside the mobile phone buisiness, as they were very knowledgable about mobile contracts.

They were very defensive of these crooks, and tried to burry my comments in an avalanche of very nasty and attacking posts.

I have never seen such hate-filled posts, about a simple matter, and can only assume these people have some other motive.

Either way, it goes agains the friendly, helfpul, good-natured ethics of this website. These people have no ethics, they simply wish to defend CarphoneWarehouse and will attack anyone who dares criticise them.

I wonder if they can be reported.
  • I won't attack you but think you're extremely optimistic replying to a post placed on here 3.5 YEARS ago! Look up the E2save threads; a lot of water under the bridge and that's who you are talking about today.

I got taken to the clearners by these guys.

    Ripped off, scammed, defrauded.

When finished my contract they sent me a notice that it wasn't being finished, hidden at the bottom of a text message which was about something else.

I lost a lot of money, as my contract continued without my knowing.

Called them many times, stonewalled, never got anywhere.

Wish i'd taken them to court.

    Good luck!

    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly the same happened to me!

I posted a message about how I was mislead, and was viciously attacked.

The three 'members of the public' seemed to know a lot about mobile phone contacts.

They swamped my message page with nasty personal attacks on me.

It seemed to be a CPW setup.

Lol, talk about thread necromancy. I've been keeping an eye on these guy tough and yeah they do seem really dodgy. Was looking at cashback deals a few years ago but decided that it was really just better to pay that little extra and go direct with your network and not have the unnecessary hassle of having to constantly badger these obviously unwilling to pay out companies for your hard earned money back! Just my 2 cents :p

Laughable. As one of those who (presumably) "attacked" you I am usually accused of being cpw's nemesis! In your case I agree it's a pity you didn't sue them; then you could have ranted about the unfair court system and how they cleaned you out to!

I think it may also be a repeat - not the term, but the entertainment.
