I think I have mentioned about this cowboy outfit atleast a couple of times,to stay well clear after they didnt pay the cashback inspite of my adhering to all the instructions regarding sending all the bills , to the letter.
Again the only way they will atleast start to take notice is if all of us contact

    a)Trading standards
b)Watchdog by leaving an answerphone message and by email/post.
c)Taking them on in the Small courts and then publicising the outcome widely.
I dont have much time on my hands otherwise would have gone for the third option.

Watchdog only start to take notice after they get atleast a minimum number of complaints about a company so the sooner all of us do this, the better.

You've been slagging them off on here for 7 or 8 months without adducing any evidence whatsoever of your glowing Small Claims Court victory.

You haven't got much time on your hands?

I received the first cashback instalment six and a half days after posting the claim. Have you even sent yours off yet or are you too busy?
  • I was looking at a similar deal only minutes ago! I think that they may be a company to avoid!!
Organisation and planning are for those who can't handle stress and caffine
A customer with a biscuit in his mouth, is a customer who can't complain :D

appart from refferal bonus i have had EXCELLENT feedack from osps in regards to cashback as well as a large number of my friends too...all had no problems and would go back again! if you wanted i could get all of my friends who have bought of osps to go post the success stories on dooyoo and then the positives would far outwaqy the negatives...remember people dont really comment about success stories they only make a fuss when things go wrong!

In response to your rather stroppy posts-
Firstly you are not one of those the post was intended for.
This post was very clearly directed at those who havent had any luck getting the cashback from Onestopphoneshop and IS not meant for those who have nothing better to do than post meaningless numbers of posts esp 800 odd posts.
Now think about who has too much time on their hands!
Secondly get a decent education and try to read/assimilate proper English and learn to count.Cant you count atleast 11 posts in that dooyoo link.If not , click on it again and practise counting properly!
Infact there are 26 reviews in all, not the 5 you mentioned!
My post gives the available measures one can take and is meant to inform those who are adversely affected by Onestopphoneshop, not for those who aimlessly wander around this site and spew out meaningless large number of posts.
Again I understand the animosity my post would create when read by those who benefit by this company be it salesmen/those who get referral bonuses etc.
Thirdly where have I mentioned in this post about a Small Courts victory.
    Lesson-another dumb assumption,another cockup!
    Need I say more !!!!
Now go and wash the muck off yourself!
(As a professional I daresay I may not get the time to even read your posts, let alone respond to them, so save your energy)

Where is your useful advice for these disadvantaged people then
    a)Trading standards
b)Watchdog by leaving an answerphone message and by email/post.
c)Taking them on in the Small courts and then publicising the outcome widely.
I dont have much time on my hands otherwise would have gone for the third option.
Have you done any of these in the last 8 months since you started criticising the company here? Or is the period actually much longer? ? Are you actually a OSPS customer at the moment? I rather doubt it. You said publicise the outcome (Small Claims Court) widely. Perhaps the people you claim to be helping would like to hear of your results, what is useful and what is not, instead of a load of mis-aimed sniping.

An adjacent page to that of the link you gave has 26 results in 4 1/2 years, including one from a person with a name like yours, dating from April 2003, 4 months after the contract was taken out, complaining of the 3 week late delivery of a phone and speculating that there would be a problem in future with the cashback. It is disingenuous of you to come here with over 2 year old incomplete information. Did you receive the cashback in the end? You only made one post there; we might assume your outspoken attitude now would hardly have prevented you mentioning it then. If you are still a OSPS customer, we might assume you're satisfied by now. If not, why pursue your ineffective vendetta here 2 years after the event?

Advice for OSPS customers on cashback. Read the T&Cs; don't lose or forget to submit the cashback vouchers; they say they won't accept claims without.

Advice for OSPS customers on company strength - it's just been taken over by the county's largest mobile phone retailer - people here who suggest it will fly by night are out of date.

Advice to Rjohnmatt on professionalism, educational standards, disclosure of usefully targetted legal and consumer advice, diplomacy and negotiating skills - clearly wasted.

If you have anything useful, produce it. If you're still too busy to sort out your problems with this company directly in the last 28 months or so, don't take it out on us.

It is worth pointing out that Rjohn obviously did not follow his own incessant advice to look at dooyoo before making this deal

and before replying here, read the rules of this forum about personal abuse

As the OP I feel the thread as been a bit derailed here.

I would like to point out I have never had to deal with OSPS for cashbacks as I've never got to that stage.

    My facts are that:

    1) I ordered a phone on a special cashback deal.
    2) I received the phone on a different deal - with no warning.
    3) When I spoke to them, first they said it had been a problem at their end, only for a manager to intervene and say first that the offers can change at any time, then to insist firmly I received what I signed up for.
    4) When I showed them the confirmation email I was repeatedly told it was impossible they had sent an email with details of the cashback thereby alleging I had forged it to get an extra cashback.

I am more than sure that plenty of other people have had succesful dealings with them. My problem is not really them not honouring the deal they advertised but the fact that I was not even told (misselling) and more outrageously point 4) above.

This is enough for me to send the phone back even at my cost something I have done this morning.

Please this is a genuine problem, do not use this thread to insult one another, (at least until I managed to unsubscribe my contract and to get confirmation of that!). Thanks.

    Regards
