Tears are a good thing in my book so no apology necessary!
It's something I've never had to experience before, so reading other peoples stories (and obviously living in the thick of it now!) has really opened my eyes. To be able to be there for the girls in any way possible I have to be able to see things from different perspectives. Whatever their emotions, be it anger or hatred or relief or hurt or disappointment or guilt, I hope I'll be able to find the words to say to them. And if not, a hug is always good
:)
Thanks for the website. Will check that outWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Was in discussions with OH last night about my birthday. He already knew I wanted me and him to go away for a night, and I'd already told him I wanted the 5 of us to go out for dinner. Don't think he actually put the 2 together. He said there was no point doing both!
Was gutted!! I didn't like the fact that it felt like I had to choose if I wanted to EITHER celebrate my birthday by going away with him OR celebrate with the girls! It's my birthday and I'd like to do what I want!!!!!
And I want everyone to be involved!! (Money wasn't even mentioned so it wasn't like I was making him pay for the lot! Besides, we've always went halfers on any hotel stays
)
Anyway. Decided this morning - tough!!! I've went ahead and booked the Redcastle Hotel (which he was in agreement with anyway!). Will also be telling him we're all going out for dinner and I'll be paying
:eek:
This will be an interesting conversation later!!:rotfl:
Anyway!!
Have been in touch with my friend in Glasgow and hoping to get over for a night (or 2!!) at the end of AprilIt has been toooooo long
Treated myself to a pair of these in New Look! Had a Love2Shop voucher so they only cost me £3.60:D
Was able to transfer £10 from TopCashBack and £3 from paypal today so wee bonus for another time
Payday on Thursday so looking forward to that! Doing ok with finances this month considering I bought myself a phone a couple of weeks ago!!:eek::D
Is it half 5 yet?! I wanna go hooooooooooooooooooooooooome!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -

OHs ex stopped me in the street at lunchtime!!! :eek:
First thing she said to me was 'Gimme a hug'!! :eek::eek::eek:
Stood for about 10 mins listening to her rambling on about herself and hearing all the same crap she's been feeding the girls. Could barely get a word in but four times I tried the 'remember the girls' and 'they've been hurt' and so on. Every time she turned the conversation back to herself again saying 'but they don't understand'...
:mad::mad:
This will be an interesting convo at the dinner table tonight(although there wasn't really much else I could do standing in the middle of town!
)
*sigh*

Moi??!!
Such typical behaviour from OH's ex. No one more important than themselves. How did tonight's dinner table chat go? Xx

lol
Yeah same as usual from herGirls weren't overly bothered about what happened, and we managed a laugh about it. OH, on the other hand, was not impressed (esp with the hug)
He's already hacked off with all the crap she's been putting the girls through, plus the amount of crap in his direction too. He's had enough.
Tried to talk to him last night but that's really hard. He's not one to open up at the best of times. I mentioned Saturday and asked if he wanted me and him to go away off and do something like walking/hiking, or if he wanted me to head to Derry and give him the day to himself. He just told me to do what I wanted...
:huh:
Probably best idea would be to head away for the day and give him peace? (and me too!!) I dunno. Much as I'm trying to help him I'm starting to think I'm part of the problem...
Kinda feeling like this today...
Maybe I do spend too much of my time trying to please everyone else and keep them happy, and not enough time doing stuff for me. I've never been a confident person in myself at all and I think that's probably why. Constantly trying to be who I think others want me to be. OH actually asked at the weekend 'who are you?'. He can see (better than me obviously!) that I seem to change myself depending on who I'm with. I know I do with my family. But it's hard to be the real me with them coz I just feel like I'm letting them down...
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!
On a plus note, it's payday today:D:D

I symapthise entirely! We're both very good at telling each other to look after themselves, I think it's about time we listened!
Do something lovely for yourself on saturday. It could be a pamper session, lunch with a friend, shopping trip or sitting in a posh coffee shop reading a book. It's a perfect time to treat yourself with it being payday and close to your birthday!! Xx

You're exactly right!!!!
I'm waiting to hear back from my friend about heading to Derry. If that doesn't suit her, my SIL has said she's going to Belfast for the day so we can have a girlie day together. Either way, I will NOT be in the house and I will be doing something for ME
(well not entirely if I go to Derry - friend splitting up with OH so I'll be a shoulder again)

An hour to go then it's the weekend!!!
Never mind my head being above water, today it's up my @r$€ :eek::(:(:(
Bag of mixed emotions today with all that's been going onI'm looking forward to the weekend but can see it being a very tough one so kinda dreading it in a way...
Oh well. Hopefully get some much needed 'ME' time in there somewhere.
Had spied this (full price!!) in New Look the other day but was waiting til payday before ordering C&C through TCB. It's now reduced so ordered it and the navy one! 2-4-1 deal practically!! lolWill decide which I'm keeping when I get them!!
Thanks for reading! Enjoy your weekend everyone! :hello:Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
