Our employees were due to be paid wages yesterday and they have not received anything. There is nothing we can do to help them as we can not access our Natwest account. I have tried logging in this morning and it tells me my password is wrong and has now locked me out. Phoned Natwest and they said they are trying to resolve it but that does not help our employees. They do not bank with Natwest so how are they going to be compensated for missed payments etc

Allsloppy, you could check whether you can get cash at your branch. If you can, you could offer your employees £50 on request to help them over the weekend, to be repaid from next payroll. Also worth asking anyone with an emergency need more than that to tell you so you can consider it.

For other losses to employees, ask them to tell you what those losses are so that you can present the bill to NatWest and ask NatWest to reimburse the cost and provide letters explaining the problem to all affected employees who may have suffered negative credit report entries.

Given the extent of the difficulty it's worth hoping that most creditors will understand glitches in payment and allow more time for payments to be made before making negative reports.

just checked my account was due child tax credits this morning.
They haven't gone in, I'm showing a negative balance and 0 available balance.
Does anyone know if you can still get funds out with this technical issue. I'm really worried about this.

Yes you can, I have £2 in my account, wages, child tax and carers for my daughter has not gone in and I got £140 out, they have to manually take it from your account once it's sorted but even with no money in there you can get money out over the counter. I didn't need proof either just my bank card

:mad:We are in a chain and were due to move today. Our buyer's buyer is with Natwest, as are their Solicitors so no money is moved/or showing moved so we had to cancel at 6pm last night. Still no idea when it will happen. Will we be able to claim for interest on our mortgage that was called down but not used? for cancelled movers? for additional Solicitor's charges to deal with it all? for returning the mortgage to our bank (not Natwest) and then claiming it again when its all good to go? making a stressful situation worse!! Any advice great.

I've just had a call from Tesco saying they won't deliver my weekend groceries today as they've not received any money from my bank.

I'm in tears here. I can't get any money from a cash machine (card is being denied) and I've only £2.31 left in my purse.

What am I going to do for food? How am I going to feed my 6 month old baby? Any advice please? I'm desperate. HELP!!!

    Thanks for your quick response.

Yes, this would probably be a good solution for most people, but what I failed to explain was that I am actually disabled and housebound, hence why I use online shopping.

I would go to a branch if I could, but I really can't see any way to do so.

    Any other suggestions please?

I don't think there is much else except check bank In morning or see if you can borrow funds from friends/family. Hope you get it sorted
