Lessonlearned - Well done on getting through yesterday, that must have been so tough.
Try to take some time for yourself today if you can. Sending hugs your way.
Mooloo - I always feel much better when my hair is freshly coloured. Unfortunately the colour I use doesn't last very long at all and needs touching up pretty much every week (I do it myself, I couldn't afford to go to the hairdresser that often!). I often don't get round to doing it so end up feeling a bit rubbish as I hate it when the colour is all faded. I must make more of an effort to keep on top of it. Yes, my hair is pink like my Avatar! Not to everyones taste I know, but it makes me happy!
I love charity shops! The majority of my clothes are from charity shops or boot sales. You can quite often find some really nice stuff for next to nothing. One of my favourite skirts, which I have had a few compliments on came from a boot sale. People are quite shocked when I tell them it it cost me 10p! I also love looking for interesting stuff for my home, ornaments, candles, pictures. I love shopping but I can't afford to spend much so this means I can still buy stuff that I love but still have enough for bills, food etc... I still have to be careful though as I sometimes get carried away!
Welshwoofer - Well done on not weeing in the pool! That made me giggle when I read that! :rotfl: Sounds like you are doing really well with the swimming! 50 lengths, wow! :T I have never been a strong swimmer.
I'm sorry I can't talk to everyone individually, I don't like to leave people out but it takes me ages to type and I would be here for ages! It doesn't mean I'm not wishing you all well.
I have had a good morning. Worked on some of my targets: I have done 20mins on the exercise bike, coloured my hair, de-fuzzed, removed old nail polish, and haven't over-eaten. I have my clothes ready to wear for tomorrow and I am going to meet up with a friend after work for a coffee. I am going to have a healthy salad for lunch and am going to paint my nails and shape my eyebrows. I don't need to leave for work until 2 today so I am feeling quite relaxed. I am feeling happy and confident today and ready to face the world.January 2016:

Hello All,
Not feeling so hormonal today, think eating lots of fruit & salad and drinking water helping a little bit, yes i have succumbed to the odd biscuit / packet of crisps but only human! Plus rode my bike to work (only 2miles), rather than drive.
X-ray results for back were all clear, but still getting back pain so not sure what to try next, tried osteopath but wasn't fussed, maybe physio, chiropractor, acupuncture, I'm willing to give anything a try as do not want to rely on painkillers. Need to investigate exercises for strengthening back/core too.

Hi all,
Madrabbitgirl - well done on braving the dentist, must admit I haven't been for ages and really should make myself do it. Haven't even got a dentist up here and we'll have been here 3 years in SeptI really didn't like my old dentist so went as little as possible - last time I went he said that he thought there might be some damage to one of the back teeth and he wanted to do an x-ray, he basically shoved the weird rubber thing in my mouth and I kept gagging on it, which he would tell me off for doing - after about 4 tries he just went 'oh never mind then' and I was so grateful to get out of there I didn't question it! I don't really have any pain in it or anything though.
Well done on all the work this morning already :T
LL - well done on getting the talk done, must have been difficult but at least it's out of the way now and everyone knows where they stand. Hope the meeting with your mum and dad goes well today. Try not to feel bad about the weight, it's hard when you have so much else on at the moment - I know I've slipped lots as well so we can both start over
WW - well done on the swimming - and the self-restraint :rotfl:
Savvy - well done on the weight loss :jglad the massage was good, I used to get them from a friend but not had one since the start of the year, may need to get in touch with her to book one in when I have a bit of time.
Lizzie - if you want to pm me your name and email address will see if the sites are currently doing referrals (if not will just message you the details). It's not that complicated, some are a little bit faffy but hey you get free stuffHope you and DS have a nice day. I don't really know any good freezer brands but I know we always used to look for shops that did reconditioned ones. There were a few close to where we used to live and over the years we got a big fridge-freezer, a chest freezer, a smaller fridge and a washer from them, I don't think we ever paid much over a £100 and they lasted really well (still have the fridge and most of the rest were working fine when I left them in the old house).
Slightly quieter night last night, was meant to be working on the story but not feeling very motivated and only got a few thousand words done. Not a lot left though so hopefully will finish tonight (and hopefully in word count as well as it's looking like will be a bit close) and then can edit and polish up over the weekend. Slightly random question but does anyone have a 4-5 year old little girl at the moment (or remember quite well what their child was like at that age). I have a child character in it and am struggling a little as I don't really know any kids round that age for how they would comprehend/react to certain things at that age. If I'm allowed to do credits I'll mention you :rotfl:

Aw, LL. *hug*
I did day 2 L1 of the Shred Tues, didn't manage any yesterday so am only doing every other day atm, which isn't bad but need to improve!
Does anyone halfway through it know if it tones your arms up? I've got a wedding in 3 weeks and my dress is strapless, though I do have a jacket to go with it, depending on the weather.
Madrabbit have you tried Schwartzkoph Live XXL colour? One of my friends uses the fire engine red one, ajf it lasts really well. Or could you go a shade darker perhaps so it takes longer to fade and is the right colour for most of the time?
A really good tip I read on mse that's halved my hair dye bill if you've shortish or fine hair was to mix half the hair dye in a clean third bottle, then use it, then you can keep the unmixed dye and developer in separate bottles for use next time.0 -
Podperson - I did have to have something shoved into my mouth for an x-ray and was worried about gagging but she did it so quickly that I didn't get a chance to. My tooth is very wobbly today. I think it might actually fall out before Weds when they are meant to be pulling it out!
I work with kids, there is a 5 yr old girl who is quite a character, she is a little chatterbox and is always really enthusiastic about everything. What exactly is it you need to know?
Faithless - I have tried 'Schwarzkoph' colour xxl. It did last a little longer but it's a really bright pink that I like. I find that if I can get 'Special Effects' dyes they are really good, really lovely colours and last up to 2-3 weeks on my hair but they are difficult to get hold of and expensive to order online (I think they have to get them in from the US so i usually use 'Directions' in Cerise as it's about £4 a pot. The pots will keep once opened. They are quite messy to use though. (my shower is stained pink!)I know I'm just making more work for myself! My mum would love it if I went back to my natural colour but it's not happening anytime soon!
Anyways, I'd better get ready for work!January 2016:

My arms have toned up quite a bit - but I am swimming as well so it may be a combination of the two? Not half as bingo wingy as they were starting to get!
Been on a course today - was actually quite good and I managed to be fairly good at the buffet lunch and didn't have any biscuits in the tea break (a small victory for me!).
Not done any formal exercise yet today (may be my day off) but I have walked the dog for an hour or so. Will see if I feel like it later, if so it'll be the Shred L2.
Looking forward to a bit of a rest later - glad its Fab Friday tomorrow!0 -

Great news Lizzie. I bet you are relieved - a weight off your shoulders I'm sure.
Well they've given out dire weather warnings for our neck of the woods - basically Central England as far north as the Southern Penines - so I guess that's us. Apparently we can expect a months worth of rain over the next 24 hours.
Last Thursday when we had that spot of weather our garage flooded so I have just been in and made sure that there is nothing electrical or valuable lying around on the floor. Luckily most of it is junk anyway and so could quite cheerfully go to the tip.
Why do we do that - garages full of rubbish and expensive cars on the drive. :rotfl: Several of my neighbours have double garages - but still no room to park their cars in them.
Anyway I'm pleased to say that I've got through this week with my sanity and equilibrium intact - what's a mega thunderstorm to me. The house insurance is up to date so the weather gods can do their worst.
If the house does flood - not that it ever has - so far - well I need a new kitchen anyway
One piece of advice though - if your house is likely to flood it's best to make sure that precious memorabilia such as photo albums, important documents, treasured heirlooms are taken upstairs. My friends mother lost a lifetime of photographs this way - irreplaceable.
Tonight I'm going to sort out some paperwork and filing and then indulge in a little nail painting.
I've managed to stick to a nice healthy diet this week - no change on the scales yet but I certainly feel less bloated.
Stocked up on lots of fruit and veg at Aldi today so hoping to keep going. Funnily enough I've no carb cravings yet - I've not touched bread since Sunday and I have to admit I feel better for it.
Meeting with Social Serivces for mum & dad went well. Dad was very distracted and fidgety and seemed to find it difficult to concentrate and take everything in so I'm glad I went. He managed to stay calm though. Whilst I was there the mum's doctor showed up (looked no older than my boys:rotfl:). Then later the Occupational Therapist arrived so again it's good I was there.
Both of them asked how Dad was doing so it's good to know that they are watching over him too.
You hear so many bad things about the state of our welfare and health systems but I can honestly say that both with my OH and now my parents we've been treated very well. (The odd little hiccup but nothing to worry about). I think we Derbyshire folk must be blessed with our services.
pp - sorry haven't been able to view your photos yet - computer has been playing up. I'll have to get DS2 to look tomorrow when he has a day off.
We'll done on all the weight losses ladies - reading your success stories is helping me to stay on the straight and narrow.
Good night all - don't forget Fab Friday tomorrow.
Just edited - the first rumblings of thunder - it's like a furnace outside.0 -
Good evening everyone
Been busy few days making DDs birthday cake. Sadly all that fondant icing has affected my ability to stick to No S daysgood job I don't do this for a living, I'd be the size of a dwarf planet otherwise!!!
Anyway I fabbing today consists of facial exercises, mud face mask (currently on :rotfl:) and coconut oil on my freshly trimmed hair.
Not sure about fab Friday, we have amber weather warnings in Midlands <sigh> so heavy rain is not conducive to nice shoes and accessories with wet weather gear
Anyway sounds like lots of fabbing going on :T
LL well done on getting through your chat about your OH xxx
Lizzie hope the news re ESA is a step closer to a full appeal x
Podperson my DD is 4 next week if you want to pick my brain
Savvy well done on WL :T
Sorry if I've missed anything important, am giggling at DD who thinks I look like Shrek in my face mask :rotfl::rotfl::eek: charmingI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
