Well done everyone on your weight loss for this challenge! Yahoo!
As for me, I'm off on holiday tomorrow for a week of autumnal weather on the moors and will be packing away in the morning. Half of the things are ready to go including shopping, petrol and a little packing leaving mine and the dog's things to sort out.
What else - not much else to report apart from no weight loss for me, however when I put my size 10 slim leg jeans on for the first time in 2 to 3mths they have become a lot looser around my waist by 1-2inchs. An nice unexpected surprise!
Exercise wise - I have had a little break again this week to not over strain myself with this cold and when I come back I'll restart level 4 on Ripped in 30 and then finish it strong! Just having a think about taking my running stuff away with me in case there's some fine weather and I feel a bit cooped up with a relaxing holiday.
Have found a load of books that I had forgotten all about -lots of classics and I'm taking these to read too to get back on the pleasure reading time instead of the non stop uni reading - a break! Yeah!
So when I return I'll be back on the next Equinox Challenge as it comes up to my year anniversary on this thread knowing how far I have come in a year fabbing away fabulously. I'll come up with some new goals for then too. In fact I might have look back to the start of this and see how I got on with thesefinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Autumn Equinox today!!! (where does the time go?!)
Well...have I succeeded in reaching my goals? Erm...no!I still have a long way to go! But I have started to make small changes for the better and I am taking it one step at a time!
I plan to squeeze as much fabulousity out of today as I can and when I can steal a few minutes to myself, spend some quiet time lighting candles and thinking about where I go from here.
Have an Awesome Autumn Equinox everybody! You are all fab and it has been wonderful sharing everyone's ups and downs and you have all been so supportive.:T Well done on all your individual achievements and for those goals that you haven't quite reached- keep going I know you will get there soon!
:T
( By the way, we have decided the 5:2 isn't for us! It was just making us both feel pretty rubbish! So back to healthy balanced meals for us both!)

Just a quickie - Next have a flash sale on today (in store and online I think). My friend texted me to remind me and I've ordered a lovely tweedy jacket reduced from £69 to £25 and some grey trousers. Not sure what they'll be like when they come but worth a try. Might be a few bargains to be had?0

Morning all
Well done on all who have reached their goals :T
Have I reached mine - hell no - must try so much harder.
I have plans in my head but I can never put them into real life, I know what I want to do but life gets in the way.
On the positives - I am 5lbs lighter, I am much fitter than at the beginning of June, (I now do Zumba and Spinning regulary and have dipped into the pool a couple of times). I seem to have fewer down days when the black could comes, but I do have to look after myself to stop it coming back.
I will have a think about my next set of goals and make sure they are acheivable (sp) (think one of them might be to learn to spell).
Todays plans are to clean house right though and then several trips to the tip as we chopped quite a few big plants in the garden last sunday and we looked into getting a skip and it was over £200 . Way too much.
Have a good day all, enjoy the sun if you have it cos tomorrow does not look good. xxChiari Brain Malformation - decompression survivor

Sorry ladies have been a bit MIA this week, felt like lots of things went to pot
been busy week, subconsciously think I've been feeling effects of rollercoaster of H and his job situation. He had an interview for a job in Bath, got a second interview for Monday and it means if he got it we would have to relocate. Have mentally been packing and unpacking the house :rotfl: which is a bit daft as he has to get it first
Anyway have I achieved my goals set at the start. Yes and no. But do you know what? That's OK. The old me would have really kicked my butt and made myself feel like a failure. Not today. Today I am going to ask myself where it didn't work and what can I do to rectify that.
My goals to the end of winter solstice are:
1. I will eat mindfully and continue IF
2. I will meditate for at least 5 mins a day
3. I will practise yoga for at least 15 mins a day
4. I will move my body to raise my heart rate
5. I will show gratitude in all aspects of my life, from my health, my body, my circumstances
Here's to the next 3 months
As always ladies its a pleasure going on this journey with you
WW well done on graduating :T
Hugs and high fives all round xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
well done everyone thats graduated!!
well, since the first one of these, i have managed to find a job and loose some weight.
my goal from now on is to keep on with the exercise. my dads said if i want to do the great manchester run again with him next year he will pay the fee. my goal for this is that i want to get it in at nearer an hour. the first time i did it was with a slight amount of work and i got 1 hour 11 so i reckon if i start now, by next may i should be there, provided i stick to it!
i've made changes to my diet and the weight is coming off, albeit very slowly! in the last 3 months i hit the milestone of loosing 10% of my body weight and i'm currently at a 17 pound loss.
my main problem is that i wake up too late and had to switch to getting an earlier train and always just grab a slice of meat or cheese for breakfast which is probably not healthy or doing me any good so i'm going to try and wake up with enough time to eat something properly like porridge. Ive also been placing far too much emphasis on canned soup for dinner!
I've been thinking about what i eat and i'm starting to notice things that just don't agree with me or make me feel awful afterwards, so i'm going to try and avoid them, they aren't worth the feelings afterwards!0 -
Lol:rotfl: Graduating! There's so much more to do!
Great attitide and goals Bitsy - hope the job situation works out for you and OH.
Hewie - you too are doing brilliantly. Keep going!
Just back from taking the dog to the park. He got stung by a bee or wasp last night and was quite poorly for a while but seems ok today. The good news is that I was very worried about him so called home and said that I couldn't travel all the way (3.5 hours) with him today so don't have to go to the dreaded family party.
So plans for today will be...... cleaning the house, doing some exercise (running probably because its a nice day), doing the food shopping and popping to the library and maybe going to see Killing me softly at the cinema if I get bored.
Still pondering my new goals - will be back later with them. Are we having a new thread for the new session?
Evilsquid - you sneaked in as I was posting - I'm doing the Manchester 10K too - perhaps we'll jog past each other, I'll be the one plodding around hoping nobody sees me!0 -
Well done to everyone who has made progress to reaching their Equinox goals! I initially thought Is failed miserably - some weight loss but all put back on, do not have an amazing capsule wardrobe, etc.
However:
I do now wear minimal make-up to work most days, along with perfume.
I have thrown out some clothes that I just didn't like how they looked on me but kept wearing because they were handy for work and there was nothing actually wrong with them
Along with some that were tatty/didn't fit
My house is a lot tidier than it used to be having thrown out a bunch of clutter
It's also a bit cleaner as it's much easier and quicker to clean clear worktops/tables/floors when there's no stuff dumped on them
I now realise that some foods make me tired and grouchy, as well as fat - namely junk food and too many carbs. I have yet to do much about this, but am trying to base my diet around protein and veg more.
So all in all - have I reached my goals? No. But have I made significant progress? Yes, I think so.
Enjoy the solstice ladies, see you on the next thread?
Ps thanks for everyone's nice replies the other day, I didn't really feel up to replying but read them all and appreciated them.0
