Rooney is clearly not match fit and I'd have to question Roy on his selection of him, although I wouldn't really blame Roy for much else, he's a good manager.

England were simply outclassed, they are a million miles from the top table.

Germany would have mullered them so it's a blessing.

I'd bet right now they go no further than a 1/4 final next half a dozen tournaments.

That's roughly about the time of a new generation of players and they have to start from scratch, like Spain did.

spot on - England wont get past the quarters in the next 3 world cups - i pretty much guarantee that...
Everyone knows it, but the media hype makes some people believe we will achieve more - as the song goes "dont believe the hype"
Dont ever waste your money betting on England winning a tournament - your best waiting til they reach the quarters then betting on the other team to qualify - made a few quid on Italy at 9/10 today:)
