I just received a reply to my message to them , whole order cancelled , not getting anything but they said I 'should' have got a cancellation e-mail and refund of which I got NEITHER...
TOYS are dear to my heart , its not 100 cupcakes to stash in the freezer even though I wouldn't but ALL children deserve some lovely treats and toys to play with as they are only children once and it brings them such joy!!!!!
So am in no way saying my DGS deserves these toys more than any other child , it is just DIFFICULT because he can only play with CERTAIN toys on offer , so when you see a lovely bunch of toys with a huge reduction which are SUITABLE for his Autism and his play needs it lights up my life! lol
He has no speech , only a few words and cannot read at all so reading books for his age group ( 5 ) are no good and honestly doesn't just play with 'anything' because of his sensory needs so loves to play with ''light up'' toys and buttons which respond to touch hence the piano mat
But never mind am going to see him today and give him a BIG Nanny hug and some Ben 10 pj's I got him for just £3 and playing with him with tickle games and singing to him are free of charge!:D

Hubby has just picked up my 2 orders from our store. He had to wait for ages as they couldn't find one and then only gave him '1 box of 2'. Happy with what I got though. Have nearly sorted the presents for my youngests next birthday and some of Christmas0

The Zhu Zhu babies nursery seems cheap at £5.50, it's £9.98 on Amazon from £22.99 and the Zubber Charm Wheel Creations for £5.16If I cared what everyone else thought, I'd be just like everyone else, and there's already too many of them. :A0

cazzap06 I understand where you are coming from as my DS has ASD as well. He is 8 this year. I ordered a small box of lego and some Kre-O as that is all he will play with and they cost a fortune. He just doesn't "get" traditional toys. I am gutted I didn't get the order and I am envious but pleased for those who did. Tesco's system is unfair and screwed up and probably won't change but I am glad some people managed to "win"
Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end0 -
magsmorris wrote: »Only ordered 3 small toys for my grandchildren and had full order cancelled seems you were more lucky if you had not ordered with tesco before as know a friend on here did deal and got all her 10 items tesco as usual not rewarding loyalty only interested in new customers well thats how it seems
i order from tesco pretty much every week whether it be grocery, direct or clothing so this isn't really the case0 -
these are toys.
it is a bit of fun trying to get them for less money.
if a child doesn't get them does it really matter? These 'but my child really DESERVES a treat etc etc posts are really annoying!0 -

I ordered the Fisher Price & V Tech toys for exactly the same reason. My DD is 5 and also has Autism (no speech etc) and would have loved these cause/effect toys but unfortunately mine were cancelled tooIf at first you don't succeed ........Alternative autism therapies should be free!!

Just checked my bank and the money has actually been debited from my account. Not bad to say its supposed to be "ringfenced" but not taken :mad:

If all the orders were cancelled there will not be so much rants and complaints. The fact that Tesco took the money even after the fact that they cancel the order.
Imagine when you go to the butcher for a premium piece of meat thats on offer, the butcher assure you it will be delivered on your door step after you made the payment, then told you, after a few days, that it is not coming. It is a miss price (duh) . you can now place a new order at the much higher price. Then after spoken to your neighbor, you found out that she got the same piece of meat AFTER you placed your order, at the offer price. Will you not be annoy?0
