Sent Tesco a snotty email earlier and have just got this reply:

Thank you for contacting Tesco Direct.

We are very sorry for the delay in our response. Due to the popularity of ‘The Clubcard Voucher Exchange’, we have experienced very high customer contact volumes, and we would not be able to answer your email as quickly as we would like.

We know that many of our customers have already called us and had their query resolved. However, if you are not one of these customers and still need to speak with one of our team, we have set up a temporary freephone helpline to fast track you to one of our Customer Service Managers. To ensure we can resolve your query, please call us on 0800 0721 649. This line will be open each day this week including Saturday from 9am until 8pm.

Those who ordered on Tuesday will have to wait that long as well........ although according to the Manager I spoke to at CS earlier "Tesco refund the money immediately, it's the individual banks which can take the time to process it"!!

......... and Tesco managers never lie ;) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I got the same response to. When I replied that if they didn't take the money so quickly, without ensuring they can fulfill the order, we wouldn't have this problem, he informed me that Tesco are unable to do that!

Were sorry, but were unable to complete your Tesco Direct order .We work hard to make sure we have no problems with our deliveries, but in this case,
    we got it wrong.
The items affected are: Crayola Doodle daisy drawing set. The Timy Time Giant soft toy seems unaffected.

Well I have just had the cancellation emails for 5 of the remaining 6 items on my Mr T order so tried to cancel the 6th, wrote some very contructive feedback (namely being that I think their practises are disgusting and Thai I will NEVER try to order from there again). And they decide to tell me they had a prob cancelling my order and to call them on premium rate line! Err, no ta! Honestly Tesco direct will be receiving no more of my custom I had an issue with toys r us when my first dd was 3months old when I tried to exchange a faulty travel system and it's been a very rare occasion that I've set foot back in there!

Ordered today for first time (2 orders, 3 items) and had emails that 2 despatched: Drumond Park Pumpaloons Action Game and Crayola Doodle Daisy Drawing Set. No mention of Spears Polar Panic - but 2 out of 3 ain't bad in the circumstances!

well I'm glad I took screenshots as the prices have all been sorted on most things now...checked the Buzz storyteller, Cars 2 tokyo spinout, lexi power plasma, toystory rocket etc.....

hoping TS may give them enough of a b**llocking that they decide to honour the cancelled orders :)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
