my orders were cancelled the day I was due to collect from store but it takes 4 days to refund my money they already took!

I am certain once they have took the money they have entered into a contract with you to sell for that price. I'd give trading standards a call to check.

I placed 2 orders this morning. Both for in store pick up. One was for a peppa pig jigsaw which has been canceled :( and another one with the airplane, tomy car and ben and holly teddies which says "Partially Confirmed". Does anyone know what that means?

I will call them and ask but I think they have a get out clause about mispriced items etc somewhere!

Many companies do not take the monies until the item has been despachted. So you are in a contract once the money has been taken.

Other like Tesco say in their T&C's "No contract has been entered in to until delivery."

Well done to anybody who has been able to get items at the low low prices. Another win for the consumer

    Right,
After all of my orders were cancelled with Tesco I decided to give them a ring, and find out their stance on it.

1st Advisor - SPoke and said I wanted to make a complaint about cancelled orders all 15 of them. Is it with the toys, she said, yes I said, well she said, we have cancelled all orders for these as they were all mispriced. Im aware of that I said, but you also cancelled them 2 days ago when i ordered them, legally if they were mispriced you are not allowed to readvertise them at that price as it becomes misleading for the customer. She said, well im not a solicitor and nor are you, so all I can tell you is all of your orders are cancelled. Then put the phone down on me.

2nd Advisor - We are aware of the problem, we have removed all the items from the site. Yes I said but you removed them from the site 2 days ago and have relisted them at the same price. Erm you havent placed an order today. Yes I have. I will speak to admin team. Rang me back and said that its a mistake on their part, they informed the admin team to take them off but they put them back on this morning. SO basically got nowhere with the call.

Rang Trading Standards who are now investigating. They said that legally they are ok with not accepting the order, however to do what they did is misleading to the customer and they will investigate. I do think however it needs more of us to do this.

Please ring the following number it takes 10 minutes and put Tesco under a little pressure.

02081850710 - its a national number to ring and cheap rate.

    Thanks
    Steve

Tesco T&C's can say what they like but the minute they take the money from you a contract has been formed.

Its like them saying the shopping you pay for instore isn't yours till you drive your car out of the car park.

However the ring fencing the money is a different thing
TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS
