I'm a SAHM but don;t spend much time at home. My current rota (due to change when DD goes to pre-school as I will then clean when she is there) is:
 Monday: wash towels
 Tuesday: clean out bins
Wednesday: clean bathroom and hard floors
 Thursday: clean downstairs cloakroom
Friday: dusting one week, mirrors and windows the other
Saturday/Sunday: change beds and wash bedlinen
Washing is done every other day or so, depending on of I need to dry indoors or can line-dry. Hoovering done as needed, same with tidying.
I do also have a list of jobs that have to be done every few months or longer, like cleaning the oven, washing the pram covers, that kind of thing. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Our rota works a bit like Skintchicks except we have the children on it (and me as well). My husband does the bulk of the jobs as he is at home while I work full time. We have a daily rota that;s the same every week, then fortnightly and monthly/occasional jobs on it. We don't have anything on there on the weekends.
We also employ somebody to do our ironing, but that's because my OH has memory issues (he has MS) which mean he might forget to switch off the iron!
We weren't always this organised (anal!) but need to be if we want the weekends for family time and if my OH is to remember all the jobs that need doing.0

Flushable wipes are great for a quick once-over the bathroom mid week to keep everything clean.
Tidying the kitchen as the other one cooks works for us when we cam be bothered - then when we've cooked can just give the counters a quick wipe and chuck the pans in the sink to soak while we eat.
I do most of washing on the weekends, the best thing I've found is the 'delay' button on my washing machine, means I can put a wash on Friday evening, but delay it so it actually starts early Saturday morning, then I can get it out when I get up Saturday without it having been sat there for hours getting smelly.
If you've not got a delay button, can you not just put the washing on as soon aa you get in from work, presumably your OH cooking doesn't stop you filling the washing machine. Or put it on in the morning before work, and get it straight out when thou get in at 6.
I used to hate ironing, but I now Sky+ a bunch of programmes I wouldn't normally have chance to watch, and watch them whilst ironing, I have a bunch of clothes, so do this once a month or so when I'm about to run out!
I'm sure the flylady site has some useful tips, but it just annoyed me and made me feel inadequate! It seems to be full of people who don't have full time jobs who spend most of each day cleaning and think everyone else should do the same. I have 2hours a day after work, travel and eating, and I will not spend all of those cleaning.0

Have tried last night and today to do things whilst i am there like cleaning the sink whilst im brushing my teeth , i gave the shower a quick wipe down after i used it etc. Seems to be working so far but i think i will have to see how well i can upkeep it. Some tips are working well but early days.0

Although we have a cleaner in once a fortnight, I still have to keep on top of the cleaning between her visits.
My main thing is keeping the kitchen tidy. Some may say I'm a bit anal, but I can NEVER leave the washing up until the next day. I clear up as I go along, and find that this really helps it not become too nighmarish.
OH is opposite. He'll use every utensil and pan in the kitchen, spatter whatever he's cooking all over the hob/surfaces and then leave it in a hell of a mess! He also still has the student mentality of having to get a clean mug out of the cupboard for each cuppa he has! Bonkers.
I also give the bathroom a quick wipe over and put bleach in the loo, so the place is never really that bad.
It helps me as I work part time and look after my toddler son 2 days a week, and I know my own stress levels would be through the roof if the place wasn't under control!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0

My main tip is to try to figure out the things that your OH really likes to be kept clean and by and large ignore them I know in our house, DH gets quite upset by messy floors but it would probably be six months before he notices the bathrooms. So I don't really do any sweeping or hoovering having decided that it will bother him before me. Similarly if the dishwasher needs emptied and the surfaces need tidied and washed down, I'll do the surfaces because he won't get around to them but he will notice the dishwasher. I also have a good 'if you do x I'll do y' system - DH does not like tidying up alone if I'm in the house but is fine about pitching in. On the washing issue, I know it can build up if you do sport. But it seems crazy to me to use a fresh towel every time you shower. Mine get washed when there's room in an appropriate colour wash - except the downstairs loo - I do usually put a fresh one in when we have visitors. After all, you're clean when you use it.
For ironing, I iron once a week for max an hour, normally less. I will iron DH's good shirts and our bedclothes because I really like the feel of ironed cotton. I try to do this on a Friday night or Saturday morning just to get it out of the way. I'd say figure out what really needs ironed and forget about everything else.
I'd also second flylady, in particular the thing of straightening up before going to bed and before leaving for work have really helped me to feel on top of things, though I could never follow it to the letter!0
