Did they actually say "for parking illegally"?0

Hi,
I have had 3 ticket for parking "outside the marked bays" by UKPC at my work premises which is private land.
I have not blocked anyone in and parked in the same place before without getting ticketed.
Others have also parked in the same locations as myself without getting a ticket.
On one of the 3 occassion my car was the only one to get ticketed, yet others were also "parked outside of the marked bays".
I took photographic evidence of this when it occurred to show that I had been treated differently to others in exactly the same position.
Interestingly when I was ticketed the second time it was a day after I made the mistake of "appealing" the first fine.
They have now sent me 2 notices of payment of £90 each (up from £50) with a picture of my car and the parking sign in the background, which supposedly is my acceptance of the contract. They have said I have 28 days to pay or it goes to debt colectors when an additional £60 per ticket will be applied.
I need some advise on this please - if it went to court what are their chances of winning based on their supposed "contract" of parking within the lines, and my evidence that even if this were the case then they are not applying this equally.
Any advise greatly received.0 -
If you Ignore the Impersonation of authority fake scam parking ticket the balance remains at zero.
Chances of them winning are nil, the law now states if they dont own the land, they can not invite you to park in the first place.
Just Ignore them, beware of character changes from parking company to debt collectors to solicitors.
IGNORE THE LOT !Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Ignore them. These are unenforceable invoices and there is nothing they can do. Others will give more in depth advice.
Just be careful if you get personal messages as they might PM you to try to get info.0 -
Does DeepInDebt mean UKPC or UKCPS? They are different companies. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

That's the problem here at times, it should be one thread for one issue, posters who hijack threads should be politely asked to post a new thread so it doesn't cause confusion.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Hi,
I posted back in march about a PCN that had been received. I ignored the letters as per the advice but today I have received a letter from a solicitors called Gladstone solicitors informing me I need to pay £200 or court proceedings will follow and bailiffs will come round.
I'm really worried, I'm 9 months pregnant and this letter has stressed me out quite a lot!
The letter itself is on crappy paper not even very posh looking from what I'd expect official solicitor letters to look like.
has anyone else received such letters and if so what would you advise I do?
The PCN itself is addressed to my husband as it was a company car which he wasn't driving so really has nothing to do with us but I'm just scared if people turn up to our for. Any help is greatly appreciated.

SO Four months ago they sent you a 'Final demand or court action will follow' letter, and what happened? Nothing!
Bailiffs can only come round if theres a court case, you lose, and then dont pay the court order in 28 days. Never going to happen.
These morons darent take you to court, because they have no case to bring. If i recall, the original parking invoice was from 'Parksure', a private parking company?
Well since then, there's been a court case thats has completely pulled all four legs off there cash cow.

The law now as its stands as a result of this is that a private parking company cannot offer parking on someone else land, and cannot pursue a motorist for any such charges.
So carry on ignoring, its all still just toothless rubbish, and scaring you into paying is the only method they have of getting money out of you.**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. When I came out of the shop I was told that I would recieve a £100 fine for parking illegally. True to form, two weeks later I received a letter saying that I had to pay £100, but reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.
I had a look on this website and took the advice to ignorethe letter however I have now received another one from a company called Court Proceedings Ltd London. It states that they have been instructed by UKCPS to recover the debt and that they want to offer me the opportunity to settle the debt in full by paying £120. It then makes threats that it “may result in court action being progressed”. It also says that failure to pay or contact them will lead to immediate action being progressed and could end up with me having a County Court Judgement, Bailiff Action, Doorstep Collection or Attachment of Earnings Order against me which could severely damage my chances of getting credit or a mortgage in the future.
Having read this site I anticipate getting a whole heap of other letters and I have absolutely no intention of paying anything. I am tempted just to ignore the letters and stand my ground as per the advice on this site, however if it did get to court would I be criticised for failing to respond? Advice would be really appreciated.
Hi Newbie here.........
My wife has just had the same problem ( we're in the Glasgow area ), where she went back to the car in a free large retail outlet car park to find a £40 ticket on the windscreen. It states she was parked over the designated bay, which is true as she was around 6 inches across the white lines. Is this a "legal" ticket and do we have to pay, or just ignore ? I know the advice given to the above OP, but can anyone confirm if it's the same in Scotland ?
Thanks0 -
Same in Scotland. Just ignore. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
