Personally, I might go wild and just aim for a spend of £3,334, a whole 66p over the minimum amount!

Yes careful now. 66p to start with and your on the slippery slope. Before you know it your £10k in debt to W**ga!! (Excuse my language!) :rotfl:

I've just spent £19.50 at my local pub and 74p to Google, so only £3313.76 to go and already 60p cashback! :D

I might even put the running total in my signature :D

Yup, I had that once, hence the 74p to Google before I dared use it in a shop for a second time!

For some reason, my available balance is £1 less than it should be. I'm going to wait a few days to see if it falls off or appears as a transaction.

I'm currently overseas so I haven't yet been able to complete and return the application form.

I have however, now received the e-mail below which took me by surprise - as I didn't realise Aqua were anything to do with Lloyds/Halifax (not that it matters).

Any other time, I would have just assumed it was a phishing attempt (and almost did this time!) - and its the only credit card which I have applied for recently..

But its not good form to send an email with a 'funny' from address and/nor mention the brand of the card!

    Regards

They aren't, aqua is run by SAV Credit Ltd. However, they have a slight link to halifax, in the online card servicing site is signed with halifax's key, so the software has presumably been outsourced, but that shouldn't result in any communications like that.

Nonetheless, I'd be quite cynical about that e-mail, but incompetence could explain it.

    It's £99 and 99.99 pence.

    Ah thanks for explaining.
I think I'll throw caution to the wind and overspend a little.

I got that email as well - I also applied for a Lloyds Duo card and I was hoping that they'd reconsidered the no I got in the post - I guess not now! (Didn't really think they had anyway, but an email from donotreply@donotreply.com with Lloyds branding was a bit odd!).

Halifax provide the day-to-day administration for Aqua, including online banking and the contact centre.
