Affordable Mobiles cashback on hold

I've got the same cash back redemption non payment issue with Affordable's - my latest claim was approved 10 wks ago today.
Anyway, just called them again to chase up payment and was told that due to the excessively long delays in sending out customer cheques that they would now be putting the money straight into customer accounts over the next couple of days, this apparently started happening yesterday.
Also, told that all customers would be receiving an email outlining the company takeover.
Thank god my 18 month contract end's next month and I only have 1 more voucher to redeem with this bunch of rogues. :j0 -

That would be good. But I don't know if they have actually got my account details. If they have, they probably shouldn't have.0 -
They must have; you put them in when you ordered the contract. Buymobilephones have been paying that way for years - though they take forever.0

Ok, so today, (before receiving the email pasted below) - a £56 redemption payment arrived in my bank account under the name of "A1 COMMS LTD".
Seems like business is back on track with these guys and following my posting from 3 or 4 days back that they were true to their word for once.

Dear Customer,
RE: Payment of your outstanding cheque back
We are pleased to inform you that your cheque back will be paid within the next 7 working days (if not already paid), directly in to the bank account you provided when you took out your mobile phone contract.
Please accept our apologies for the delay in making this payment.
This was due to the current transfer of management of the Affordable Mobiles website to A1 Comms Ltd, which will now be the name that appears on your bank statement next to the amount.
We are doing all we can to make sure that the transition is as smooth as possible and we can assure you that future payments will not be subject to such delays.
Thank you very much for your custom, and for your patience with us on this matter.
Kind Regards"0 -
Well blow me sideways.
I too have received my cashback into my bank account dated 25 June from A1 COMMS - although no email.
I had to double check because I have a completely different cashback due from buymobilephones.net (also A1 COMMS) "within 14 days of the 22 June" - but that is for a slightly different amount.
Curiously, A1 have used the bank account details they already had for me - NOT the account details that I gave to Affordable. This is a slight bind because I want to close it down - A1 do not allow you to change the account used for payment, so I will have to keep it alive for another 14 months just to collect this cashback...
Eagerly awaiting the email now...0 -
So all those that wanted to jump at court action would of looked stupid, a judge would find a small delay due to company take over reasonable and you could be seen as waisting court timeDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Nonsense. Firstly, court action would have been a way down the track - by which time the timescale would be perfectly reasonable. Second, there's absolutely nothing "stupid" about taking action at the earliest opportunity once a dealer has reneged broken the t&c of the contract. If YOU were a day late THEY would never pay - so who's the stupid one??0

I've just started a contract with them and had my free gift voucher for a playstation 3 accepted, that was about 5 weeks ago.
Anyone heard anything about free gifts being sent out finally?
Thanks,0 -

Actually, it's called ensuring you get your cashback when they have broken the contract.0
