Affordable Mobiles cashback on hold

I have a cashback claim with Affordable Mobiles which was approved (by email) so I rang them after 6 weeks to see why the cheque hadn't arrived.
The assistant verified who I was and then said "I have an announcement to read" which was to the effect that the company is being taken over, they can't say who to, and that the cashback is "still guaranteed, but on hold until 1 July, when it will be paid by the new owner".
Anyone else in this position?
Anything I can do in the meantime?
If you are about to buy a new mobile, I would probably still clear...

A1 Comms bought Shebang's, Go Mobile so logic would say they will also takeover Affordable Mobiles.
A1 Comms is Buymobiles.netIt's not just about the money0 -
Their ownership is totally irrelevant. They have a contract with you. if they pay outside the timeframe in the t&c by 1 day send a LBA and then sue. I've needed to do that with them more than once to get paid (the former but not the latter).0

oh damn I’ve just bought a cashback contract throughAffordablemobiles, I had a contract with them before, I got all the payments ontime once I had sorted out the initial problem. My cheques were addressed from Shebang's.
sorry what is LBA?0 -

One of my posts on there covers LBA's (Letter Before Action).
I wouldn't panic; as long as they don't go bust and you follow the groundrules you'll get paid. It's those who don't do the latter or are left standing when the music stops and a dealer goes down that lose out.0 -

The problem here is there isn't enough time to use the courts before ownership changes.
So LBA is fine, but not worth issuing a claim if they ignore it.0 -
Does who owns the company negate it's obligations with existing contracts? Would seem rather absurd unless the company actually goes bust.0

We don't know whether they are or not. Or the terms of the buyout, hence no point paying for and issuing a summons if the defendant no longer exists.0

Don't know if there's much point in sueing just yet, is there?
If Affordable/Shebang do go bust - I would just be joining the queue of creditors wouldn't I? Do you think it's significantly better to have started proceedings in advance of the event? I already have a confirmation of "the cheque's in the post" so the existence of the debt isn't in question.
If they don't go bust but just transfer, I guess I can expect to be paid by A1. Is everyone still working on the theory that A1Comms/buymobilephones.net will take over Affordable? [Just about to complete my third successful cashback contract with them...]0 -

No.
As previously posted, if they are to go out of existence at the end of the month, you don't have the time to sue them.
Wait and see what is going to happen as from the sale, and take things from there.0 -
