Nanamia.. yes they are in the same hospital.. unfortunately there is only 1 crappy one here.

Jojo.. no forceps, she did all the work herself, bear in mind she is 5ft 2 and 7.5 stone normally so tiny.. the midwife looked at me like I was nuts after she said it would take another 3 hours to deliver him and I said he will be out in the hour.. 50 minutes later we had a baby! What do they know?! They also kept threatening her with a section and I kept saying no..

Greenbee.. I said if they had 10 children each they were only allowed 1 name per family.. lol

DD ended up in theatre but the bleeding stopped and she now has a raging cold so is staying in until at least tomorrow but she is fine.. and at least the baby knows how to feed.

It was amusing when she told the midwife she didn't want her to help her with feeding she wanted me.. and we had him on perfect first go! Without me laying a finger on either of them.

DD1 realised today that if each of my offspring have 10 children I would have 100 grandchildren.. Entonox is marvellous stuff

And Michael Gove is worried about standards in Maths today....;);)

Seriously congrats to Pigpen and her DD1 + family! He is lovely!

I am amazed that she could even contemplate that Maths whilst giving birth - for the first 3 days after DD1 was born she was being told - 'you will be an only child....'.

Aww that's great piggers. I had an awful time nursing DS he was a lazy little sod. He'd let me feed him now so not much improved there. DD was marvellous, she latched immediately and really seemed to take comfort from it, but she has milk intolerance so it didn't last which was a huge shame.

A slightly belated welcome to Samuel; and hoping Pigpen's DD is feeling somewhat better by now.

Sidny's gone home - as usual, he didn't want to leave!:D I have two weeks dogless, then I've got Dilly for a week.

I could really do to get the carpet tiles steam-cleaned, so if there's any spare spoons lying around, chuck 'em my way, please.:D

Physio-terrorist now says I have carpal tunnel syndrome, just to add to all the other things wrong with me - apparently this explains the almost permanent pins'n'needles in my hands.:( And I have a very strange exercise, involving a towel, to do for my shoulder.

On a better note, Mr LW has conquered Mount Ironmore.:T:A

LW - Carpal Tunnel can be painful - I had it in both hands and had the Ops to sort it out but still get the occasional twinge and both hands are useless at gripping tightly to things but I'd have the Ops again just to get rid of the pain, have you been given the splint things for your hands - they do help and can be bought if you can't get them from the hospital.

Done washing today and stuffed what I could in the TD and hung the rest over the airer

pigpen - huge congrats and well done to DD1 - welcome to the world Samuel :D Hope both are doing well x

So she's planning on another 9 then? ..............

serena - good to see you posting x

We have our Olympics week at school from tomorrow so am hoping for dry weather! We are all in one of 5 teams and have different coloured t-shirts printed with a special logo, and we have gold, silver and bronze medals for all events. It's going to be hectic but, hopefully, fun!! I'm thinking of attaching labels to my pupils saying 'please return to class x' as they will be off to different events all over the place.

Still pottering along here with the flying and decluttering as well as writing IEPs and reports (assessments all finished though!). Need to make an effort so I can get this house on the market by the start of the summer holidays.

Love and hugs to all especially Toots, L-L and LW.

Been to see DD1.. she lost 2.3L of blood in total so they are still looking at a transfusion maybe. The bleeding is down to normal levels now which is good. Baby has a sticky eye which hopefully will clear up soon.

Your DD will need lots of TLC while she recovers her strength. She's lucky to have such a experienced Mum to help her out. Well done Pigpen.

Today has been very industrious. The £££window box has been put up and filled, 9 loads of washing processed so far (still going). Hall, stairs and landing painted. 2 of the new garden chairs assembled (fiendishly fiddly). Spag Bol cooked for 10. 1 trip to the tip. I trip to Mr T. Bathrooms cleaned.

I can get alot done when I'm not working/school running!
