  • Congrats, Piggers. That looks like a forceps delivery to me. Well, DD2 looked very similar and she was.

Greenbee, I've been decorating for the last forever - Laura Ashley paint is RUBBISH. Dulux dead flat is pretty good, B&Q 1848 or whatever it's named, is fantastic. Very much like F&B. Who are, obviously, the best.

The ones I am using are dead flat/chalky, high pigment and enjoyable to use.

And Crown eggshell is perfectly good enough as well.

But after the length of time I've spent with paintbrushes and whatnots scattered around, I'm probably getting a little hysterical about it by now.

    Congratulations to pigpen and family!

Piggers, might be worth getting some arnica tablets for dd? I had a nasty delivery with DS and was told to get these. When I asked how many stitches, she said "just think of it as one long stitch" and patted me on the head...

It was very painful, but arnica and salt baths are what the mw felt helped me heal that bit quicker xxx

Today is laundry and tidy day, in the bossy house...

thanks JoJo! I will get the LA samples for the colour, and then if they work, will get them mixed locally in something sensible probably Dulux, as that's what my decorator likes working with (and it's cheaper), although he's been very good at using up the old odds and ends, including the vast tub of trade white that has been in the shed for ages and is fine foor the ceiings and will probably do most of the kitchen (will use kitchen paint round the work surfaces where it may get wet/cooked).

Horrible noisy night with lots of wind and rain. Need to get moving soon... It would be good to get some flying done before I go out.

Congratulations Pigpen. Another grandson, they will grow up good friends. I hope your DD is ok and gets some rest.

Today will mainly be spent washing and ironing. Next week is manic with sports day, district sports, Breastfeeding Support group meeting and we go away on Friday morning for a long weekend (I love non pupil days!).

It's wet and drizzling here. Better go and load the TD.

Many, many congratulations Piggers and family. What a smashing little Grandbeast. Ours is due today, but so far nothing is stirring.

Going to do a few little housey jobs today. I still feel like I have had a collision with a high speed train after my fall. I am going to cut back on the painrelief today, so I shall be less zombieish when the new Grandie puts in an appearence.

Have a great day everyone and I hope that wherever you are that you get a glimpse of the sun today. Heavens know we all need it.

Morning all as it is still just morning. Congratulations Piggers. Haven't read through whole thread since Friday so hope everyone is ok.

Just did the dailies yesterday, have no idea where the day went really. Today, DH and I have walked the dogs and that's about it actually. Living room vacuumed as usual and chicken in the slow cooker. Going to spend the afternoon reading the paper and working out how to tell DD that someone hit the back of the car while she's on holiday. Maybe just get it fixed before she's back?!!

Well, have done a few hhc to get out mess back under control, with the result of a tidy-except-toys house.

My tat in the kitchen is all rehomed, the kids are having a picnic and there is a Thai chicken curry on the hob for later.

Have been taking antihistamines for 4 days now and the grot has dried up but omg my face still aches, and my ears. Might have to get an appt with docs if it doesn't improve in a day or so. Feel like my head is full of pressure - you all know what I mean by that!

Anyway, have done a wash and hung to dry. It's sunny but clouds are looming, so it's indoors as I'm taking the tots up for a nap. Will sort toys later, or I'll end up doing it twice...
