Local h0mebase doesn't have samples of the Laura Ashley paints I want to test for the kitchen :( local Laura Ashley doesn't stock paint... P&P on the two tester pots is as much as the paint! So I need to think what to do...

Still hunting for tieback hooks for the sitting room too, and tiebacks for the spare room, as well as cream muslin curtains for the bedroom. It's nice to be getting down to the details but frustrating that things aren't finished yet.

    Miserable weather again...

Locate a branch near work that has them and I'll go pick up for you?

I agree the weather isn't too great - was at a wedding earlier and it was sun before, extremely heavy wet weather during, and grey but dry afterwards...just needed some white stuff to have the full set :rotfl:

Hopefully will stay dryish for a while as need to do a bit more outside,

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Thanks... But looks like H0mebase don't stock the colour at all, and that only a few L Ashley do, so probably online ordering of testers is the only option, and then if one or other of them works I can get it mixed as dulux/crown locally...

I'm in the office on Wednesday if you're about, and am free after my HR appointment until my laptop is ready

Also need to contact an eBay seller to work out how to pay them as eBay didn't take the payment...

Just going to chuck some chickpeas in the SC and then see whether my work laptop will start up properly.

Not much flying done apart from laundry.

DH done most of the prep for decorating, think we have chosen a colour. He has sanded and polished my desk.

Hand sewing next then a bit of ironing.

DS2 and I didn't get back until just after 6pm - stopped at shops for bread and a few bits on way home.

The history thing was good. Although we missed the displays we had a good time chatting to the people there and learned quite a bit. DS2 watched musket bullets being made and was given one to take home. :D

We may go back tomorrow for the displays. Entry to the park and gardens works out at about £8 for both of us, so I decided to splash out and bought an annual ticket (unlimited visits for an adult and two kids) for £24.50. Bargain! It's a lovely place and only 15 minutes away.

Since we got back I made and scoffed cottage pie for tea (HM pie filling from freezer). DH has gone out and I'll join him later for a drink. Going for a HHC upstairs putting clothes away before it's DS2's bedtime and then I'll get in the bath. :D

    Hi all

We have been out all day so no idea how the house got so untidy, lol. It really is just stuff scattered though, and a hhc in the morning will put everything back in place. Right now I have 2 tired babies watching ice age 3 in my bed, and they are both cuddly so im making the most of it...

ETA we've had a lovely day, this morning at a friends house, and their local school fair. They also have a trampoline so DD was amazed at the funny "boun tattle" (bouncy castle, bless her). The kiddies all had a picnic lunch, then a nap. Then later we all met up again at a pub / restaurant / playcentre so the kids went wild. I lost DD at one point, only for the attendant to tell me he'd seen her up at the top??? She wasn't big enough to get up there! But yes, the she was, stuck. On the way Home DS told me he "shoved her bum" so he could show her the slide, lol.

I thought my baby was missing for a few scary minutes!

We are all shattered so nothing else happening tonight. Certainly no housework...
