i am loving being pregnant and im very happy and proud to be a mummy to be, and not embarassed at all by my belly, its just a habit i cant seem to break and its driving me barmy!

I used to suck my belly in and people have only just noticed that I was pregnant when I was 7 months! Only 5 weeks to go - thank goodness

I never minded having the bump, but i was very self conscious when i started to show as it just looked like id got abit tubby and not obviously pregnant! Perhaps subconsciously thats how you are thinking.

I did this initally, I was terrified that people who didnt know I was preggers would think I was getting fat so I wanted to hide it until it was a proper pregnant tummy....don't know where I thought I was going to hide it for 6 months...in my pocket?:rotfl: Plus it was pretty obvious as I spent most of the 1st 3 months being sick at every available opportuntiy, and often when there was no opportunity regardless:rolleyes::p
I finally got over it and then the real downer came, was almost 6 months gone & at my best friends wedding (who hadn't asked me to be a bridesmaid 'cos I was pregnant:mad: and I was therefore a little bit sensitive on the day as only pregnant women can be;):rolleyes:) & chatting to an obviously new mum in the church who asked if I had any children....me: "no, not for another couple of months yet" accompanied by tummy patting on my part...her: "oh really, I thought it was just a really big blouse" followed by lots of giggling...what the f***??!!:mad::eek: I got my own back, I was getting my morning sickness in the evenings & "accidently" threw up over her partners car in the car park:D Actually I had forgotton all about this incident until now!

I'm 29 weeks gone, and I'm seriously huge! The bump is all stuck right out in front, and I've got nothing round the sides which makes it look even bigger.

I can't fasten up any of my coats now, and my normal oversized t-shirts don't fit, so I've been pinching hubby's to wear round the house.

I was in the bath last night, with bump sticking out the water which made it look bigger and my eldest came into say goodnight and said "blimey, you're massive Mam" - thanks son :rotfl:

thankyou for all your replies, im guilt free now and relieved im not the only one! the ppl who know im pregnant, everyone really at this stage!, have said this week im starting to grow a bit and they can see im pregnant im 15 weeks and presuming thats about right for the dates, i know im not gonna be big or anything but i have a swollen little tummy now i cant stop touching it!!

i actually wore those hold in knickers once and crikey never again it just shuved the non pregnancy bit over the top lol

like the others have said, get big and be proud your be amazed at how useful you bump can be

I am 27 weeks and finally actually look pregnant.

Up until aboit 20 weeks it just looked like I had been on the curry and beer the night before!!!

It's great being pregnant. Be proud!

I remember going for my first scan at 20 weeks and I had absolutly no bump whatsoever. I was convinced I wasn't pregnant as I felt so normal. The scan confirmed she was the right size for dates, although when I was in labour, they said she would be smaller than average, she shocked me by turning out to be 8lb 5 1/2 oz!
