Well have had a pretty busy day.
I decided to go to mummies and babies this morning, although it was a bit of a waste of time as I don't really know anyone there anymore, and it meant Roo didnt get his morning nap, so have done no housework!!!!
came home and fed him and then went to meet my friend as we were going to try a farm shop for veg, well how very disappointing, i was so excited about going, and it ended up being a few onions and tomatoes! So we went to the garden centre for lunch and I ended up spending £4 on a slice of cake and a very small cup of coffee, and the cake wasnt even nice, I could have definitely baked better myself. Not at all happy about that. I'm out for lunch tomorrow as well and said I would treat my mum, so that will be yet another tenner!!! Grrrr sometimes money just slips through your fingers doesn't it.
I was going to go to tesco this afternoon, but it is just far far too hot here. So I will check out the veg on the market tomorrow.
Feeling really out of sorts this afternoon, really hot grumpy and not very happy, not quite sure why
All the other mums at the baby group, are talking about going back to work and all seem to have lost loads of weight and I just feel a bit like I'm not doing a lot and things are going nowhere..... nevermind I'm sure I'll snap out of it soon.0 -
Anyone got any good pick me up tips? I just feel rubbish, and have just stuffed myself with sweets which isnt helping.....0

Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit down. You aren't going nowhere, what is happening with your business ideas? Are there any mums at the groups you go to who aren't going back to work, a few of the ones i met didn't go back and i get jealous when i hear about the fun things they are doing when i am at work.
Oh and i love Gavin and Stacy!0 -
hey wendz, thanks hun, I've had to put everything on hold, I still don't have time to brush my hair let alone run a business. To be honest I thought I would get a bit more help from OH but seriously get very little, I think he changed 4 nappies in the 3 weeks he was home, and didnt feed or bath Roo once, sometimes I feel like a single parent, but with all the mess of the second parent!!! life can be so frustrating sometimes.
On an up note I have just washed the reuseable nappies I have used so far, and there was nothing to it, and theyve come up nice and clean in a 40degree wash, although I am yet to try them at night, as Roo has a very full nappy by morning and the only thing I've found that holds it are pampers! Its difficult when Im out too, I wouldnt know what to do with the big wet nappy towel thing once I changed him. I'm sure I'll get used to it. probably doing 2/3rds reusable and 1 disposable at the moment.
Well Ive managed to do two lots of washing, unload the dishwasher, wash all the bottles, wipe the worktops and hoover downstairs, so not too bad.
Am out all day tomorrow seeing family and a friend so that'll be nice.
Goodness its hot, I'm not sure how well I'm going to sleep

I feel like that too sometimes. Only time OH really looks after Poppy is on the days he picks her up from nursery until i get home and he then will give her a bath etc but if I am home he leaves it all to me.
Sounds like you are doing a fab job anyway!
Have a lovely day.0 -
Well I've had a busy couple of days, I went to see all the family and stayed at my dads. Roo was a nightmare last night and woke up 6 times!!!! I'm exhausted, can't wait for 7.30 when roo goes to bed so I can go too! Spent a little bit of money but all on good stuff. I went to £ land and got a paddling pool and toy bits etc, such good value. My mei tai came today and me and roo tried it and he actually seems to quite like it, I didn't keep him in it long as its the first Tom he's used it but he really seemed quite happy, which is good news x0

Well Roo has a cold, he's super grumpy
haven't been able to get a lot done. Poor little boy. Hope you're all having good weekends x 0 -
So onwards and upwards with my journey. On the gardening front things seem to be going really well, have had another couple of strawberries, which Roo plucked out of my hand and gummed to death
he loves strawberries, I have flowers and tomatoes on my tomato plants. I even have mange tout, I didn't realise they had grown and there is enough for a dinner atleast
I bought these all as plants but next year I am going to see if I can be successful at growing things from seed as it is so much cheaper.
ooooh hold on, just going to put my bread in the oven
ok they're in the oven I hope they taste nice! Well theyre rolls as they cook quicker and I don't need to have the oven on for an hour.
Roo is awake and playing he is still a little grumpy but not too bad. I might try and get a little bit of gardening done this evening, just planting out little bits and going through my seeds.....
whoops starting typing this about 2 hours ago!! But have been caught up sorting out Roo.
My rolls turned out ok, a bit dense though. But definitely edible.
Not sure what to do about shopping, have tons of stuff in the cupboards but I suppose I could do with some fruit etc, I have a £7 off a £50 spend at t£sco and then i think they give you 5p off a litre of fuel, so in total i could save myself £10 but I don't know how much shopping I actually need...... am I best to just go and get the essentials which will probably come to about a tenner in aldi or should i do a big old shop and stock up on things because I get a tenner off.... eventhough Im not sure I need all that much......0 -
Oh dear Roos poorly. He's got a really high temp, have called the Dr out as his temp didn't go down even after calpol and was 38.8. Roo is asleep now, I wish the Dr would hurry up and call me back, I'm so tired I'm falling asleep.0
