    Hello,

It's been a busy month one way and another, 3 family birthdays, some problems with some friends having some daft squabbles, I've now decided to just keep out of it, and let them sort themselves out, as they are all (allegedly) adults. :rotfl:

The new car is great uses less petrol just as well with the way that's going up, and seems to be running well, I like it much more than my old one, that was really a bit big for me, so that's all worked out well.

We are due a bonus at work very soon, we have been told the amount we are getting and its very good, I have to confess to spending some of it on bedroom and lounge curtains, but they are lovely, and that treat will keep me going for a few months now, the rest is our holiday fund for the year, so that's one thing I don't need to think about now :T

Once I make this months payment I shouldn't be far of seeing a 7 on my total outstanding :T I'll update as soon as I make the payments, so my target on over payments this month will be to get that 7 as quickly as possible even if it's followed by three 9's I know it will feel good :D

How everyone else is doing well, and hooray to it being Friday

I almost forgot to share my other good news. My boss has decided to invest in some training courses for me, my role changed a little at work last year, and this will asssist with the newer parts of my role. It looks like I will be doing a course this year and another next year, which is great from the gaining skill point of view, and also that the courses are not cheap, so chances are my job (fingers crossed, touch wood etc) is resonably safe for a couple more years (as safe as any can be in this climate) as I don't think a company would be spending that kind of money on someone they don't intend to keep £1.5K this year and £3K next year. And of course its great to know my Boss thinks I'm worth that kind of investment, esp in this climate. :D

    Thanks all, :)

Time for a little update I think, saving the big update for the end of the month as I'm hoping to have a 7 to report :D

Busy month so far, so looking forward to Easter weekend for a long weekend from work, have added a days holiday to it to make it extra long, OH and I are planning on some quality time together, and I shall have a least a day crafting, that way I can really get into making a mess :)

Fingers crossed I should be hearing about my salary rise at work in the next couple of week, it doesn't take effect until July but will be nice to know it's coming, and I will do the same as last year and pay it straight to my debts, as I won't miss what I didn't have.

    Hope everyone is keeping well

Feeling a little down today, last year when we dowsized we moved to the next town, despite knowing I couldn't afford the mortgage on the house we had, and knowing that we couldn't afford any nice houses in the town we were in my parents were not at all happy about the move, they felt I was moving too far away it's only a 25-30min drive at the most so really not that far.
Anyway I knew they were still not happy but thought things were perhaps calming, turns out that's not the case, they have been complaining to my Sister about me being too far away, in particular they feel its wrong I am not longer near enough to be used as a unpaid taxi when they want a night out, I actually didn't mind helping out, just disliked the fact that they felt I owed it to them for bringing me up. My Sister bless her is very much in my corner and tells them exactley what she thinks about their moaning :D. But I know we haven't been invited out with them as much as pushiment for daring to go against what they want, and whenever I hold a family meal I can feel the disapprovment at my home. I know int he big scheme of things this is so important and that as a grown up (40 next yr ) I just need to ignore this and continue to do what is best for OH and me, it helps that both he and my Sister are in my corner, but I just wish my parents could be happy, that I am happy where I am, and feel so much less pressure now when it comes to money hey ho.

Ok whinge over must admit I feel better for letting it out.
I have been told what my payrise is at work 3% very good esp at a time when lots of people aren't getting anything so very pleased with that. I should also be able to update my sig this weekend so looking forward to that. :D
