  • I used Nair facial hair removal cream on my chin and upper lip last night. Its burnt all my skin off
I'm so embarrased and i'm sure people were staring at me today. Its really painfull and still stinging. NEVER AGAIN!
And thats the sensative one. I done a patch test the night before and all was fine. I only left it on for not even a minute, i would hate to see my face if i had left it on for the full three minutes!
Baby Thomas Jake 'TJ' is due 01.11.10

Yes, I tried it about a year ago and the hair is worse now than when I started. It wasn't cheap either!

OMG, ive had 4 treatmeants @ £40 a pop and i feel its getting worse too! I asked the lady she said it usualy takes 8 treatments to start seeing effects. Im really considering going to waxing, but i hate the re growth stage, id love a cure for unwanted bodyhair morethan a cure for the common cold! ITs the bain of my life!

I've only ever used the non-branded ones and they works fine, probably just as well as the branded one. The non-branded ones tend to be Asian/Chinese and they've been using the threading method for years, I'm wondering if Epicare has taken their idea and branded it?

Regrowth with the epicare is just normal the same as waxing etc if anything I've found the regrowth to be a bit finer over time. It can be a bit painful the first time you use it so it may be best to perhaps start with your cheeks so you know what to expect then work your way over to the top lip.

I think I might buy the official epicare next time to see if it's any different. When I first bought one I didn't want to pay £10 incase it didn't work that's why I just got one of the cheaper ones.

I have taken the plunge and bought an Epicare copy from Ebay. It was £3.70 with p&p. It only arrived yesterday and I have had a quick go with it. It stings a bit but nothing too unbearable. I had a go at the down on my cheeks and it has worked quite well. I probably need to spend a bit more time and improve my technique. All I need to do now is find the time................

I started waxing after the light treatment, but I am considering laser treatment. Has anyone tried laser treatment and how effective was it?

You guys who have used IPL and the hair is getting worse. Was this on the top lip only? As my main area of concern is chin and under ching area.

my daughter is now of that age where she wants to get rid of her hair on her legs and armpits - despite her still being young (nearly 12) I can understand and we have agreed that she can get rid of it from her armpits (now that there is some there!) but she said that she will wait until she goes to secondary before she does her legs

should she shave or should I take her to a salon to have it waxed off?

I know it's going to hurt if she has her armpit hair waxed so do we just shave that and then wax her legs?

I just want what is easier for her and what will be the best as regards to re-growth, I always thought that waxing was better as the hair takes longer to grow back

as for creams - I would prefer it that she did not use these especially on her armpits as the creams can be strong and armpits are sensitive areas - the same for the epilady - that would just be mean of me to give her one of those as they really hurt like hell (well maybe I should get her one - that will teach her to grow up too fast :D)

I have no probs with her wanting the hair gone - I just want her to use the best method so any advice would be good

    thanks
