Have you ever had anything waxed?
It hurts most the first time. I had put waxing off for a long while before I had the courage to have it done. I went to a really good place that was recommended to me by a friend. It was very important because upon saying it was my firt time, the beautician put me at ease. It's imperative you get a good professional with loads of experience because they do it fast and get it done with quicker.
It helps to take two paracetamols 45 mins before the waxing, and there are some sprays that claim to numb the area. In theory this is OK, however it doesn't work on some people.
Personally, I had the hollywood (all off) done a couple of years ago at the place that was recommended to me. I then had it done another 3 times. After that, one day I had the impulse to do it myself and save myself the money and the travel & time so I got veet warm wax jar which you can melt in the microwave in 45 seconds and then did it myself. The wax smells lovely so it's like a beauty ritual and relaxing, and it's washable with water!!! This means if you put it on and decide you can't do it, you can run water on it and it'll dissolve. When I did it, it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would and now I've been doing it myself. I've done it 3 - 4 times by myself. It's tricky to master but I can do it when and as I please!
Try it. Go for it. Think about it - it'll be 10 to 15 minutes of pain and it's over. It'll last perfect for 3 weeks and you can get it done again in a month. After the first three months the hair growth is considerably reduced and it hurts less and less each time.
Hope this helped.:T0 -
