I was with Supanet a year ago, but thanks to MSE I changed to Madasafish and got a faster line and lowered charges.
Before migrating I offered Supanet the chance to reduce it's charges but they couldn't so I went with Madasafish.
My 12 months were up them late Feb so I got a MAC code to migrate and offered them the chance to better any deal. They offered to up my download limit from 5 to 40 Mb but I would be on another 12 month contract. I thought I could do better! Funnily there weren't too many deals that were hugely better than they were offering, until yesterday.
I was called on my mobile by Supanet and offered £7.99/month for the full 12 months (not first few month's promotional rate), with 8Mbit connection and unlimited download limit and a 12 month contract. There was no migration connection charge. I thought too good to be true so declined at the time. I called them this afternon and was reconfirmed the deal. I couldn't spot the catch. They said they were trying to get Supanet's old customers back.
So, can other people get the deal? Not sure but worth a try.

The deal looks good, although they do have a Fair Use Policy and block certain ports (according to their published T&C's) - but can anyone who is with them give an idea what the service is like?0

Anyone heard of this company or what they're like?!?
You can get BB and free evening and weekend calls for £7.99pm.

I'm with BT at the moment, but obviously this beats them hands down. Just wondering if they're a good company to switch to, or if it is to good to be true.0 -
Before you decide, i would have a read over here first, and maybe ask them the question.

You could find yourself in a long contract that you cannot get out of without paying a lot of money.
Their broadband is not good, many have problems, and it could be very expensive to sort it out with them:-Supanet_Support wrote:Broadband support

Surely this must be one of the best deals going. Gold option £10.99 a month. Cheaper options are also available.
One-year contract.
..Free calls anytime
• Up to 8 Mb broadband
• Unlimited bandwidth
• Free anti-virus trial
• Free optimised Tpad VoIP service
I have just been looking on their site: www.supanet.com/broadband/newtobroadband/and frankly I'm quite amazed at the price for what you get.
I haven't seen anything cheaper using a normal BT phone line, have you?
Is it too good to be true or what? comments please.0 -
I'd read the feedback first, from some of their existing customers before making a decision!

I know.
That's why I am asking for opinions here.0 -
I spoke to a customer service person this morning.
Clause 14.1.1 of the terms and conditions says that you will be liable for £39.99 if you cancel within 24 months.
The customer services man assured me that the price of the contract will not rise after the initial 12 month period.
I am also confused by the free calls offered. The tariff table states that there is a minimum charge of 5p.0 -
I've just spent ages reading their terms and conditions, and spotted clause 14.1.1 too:
14.1.1 Cancellation of your account within 24 months of your account activation date or most recent upgrade will incur a cancellation charge of £39.99. If cancellation occurs before the
expiry of the Minimum Period you will also be liable to pay the Charges that would otherwise accrue during the remainder of the Minimum Period.
I don't understand how it can be a 12 month contract if they will charge you a cancellation fee within 24 months.
Surely that can't be legal?
It also says that they will charge you if you just want to end the broadband outside of 24 months without taking a MAC code.
Possibly one to avoid....
