Southampton Town Quay - Urgent help needed please!

I could do with some help on this subject. I was one of the mugs who actually paid it last month. Is there anything I can do? Appreciate any help on this subject

Can you start a new thread instead of bumping a thread that was last replied months ago. Also you have to give more details as nobody will understand what you are talking about, actually I have no idea what you have paid

Now I know this is a very old thread, but I would be interested to know, as i cant find out anything on the itnerwebbynet

I have long been told that Southampton Town Quay was chartered to the "People" of Southampton for their use?

Only thing I have found is this "Town Quay is the original public quay, and dates from the 13th century." from wilipedia, not a reliable source I know, but it does seem to substantiate that it IS a "Public Quay"!

Obviously history has moved on, BUT, I would be extremely interested to know, as would a lot of others who utilise the Town Quay, any information as to exactly what are the legal implications of changes that have occurred through history, what they might be particularly in respect of charging for parking and access?
Also any History, particularly if it backs up that the Quay is a Public Place?
Any information as to how I might find out the history and implications of changes of ownership, there legalities, and if currently charges are ACTUALLY LEGAL?

P.S. It would also be interesting to know the views on the legality of any changes in ownership of the Quay?
