A bit longer than most and usually 5 letters after you start Ignoring them.
if letters are franked, do not open them, put them back in the post box and the post office will send them a bill for posting franked mail that has already been charged.
have the last laugh, when they come back, do it again until they drop apart.

If im 100% honest i feel kind of dodgey completely ignoring them after e-mailing them. Would it be a good idea for me to pay them for the minimum parking charge (£2.20 for 2 hours) to cover the 29 minutes i over stayed? do they then have any right to keep asking me for more?

No, because if you do they they will rub there hands together with glee, know they have a mug on the end of the line, and reel you in, and send you another invoice for £100 for 'late payment fees' or something. They will think of a dozen ways to screw as much money as they can if they think you're weak.

These are not reasonable people. They are amoral crooks. They have no concept of fairness. They have no conscience or compassion. They will screw as much money as they can frighten out of you, if they sense even the slightest chink in your armour.

JUST IGNORE THEM!!! THIS IS SOUND ADVICE!!!

I don't think the experts on here will advocate not buying tickets.

No don't do that. It's quite reasonable and fair for car park operators to charge an hourly rate for the use of the facility, and we wouldn't advise anyone to try to dodge that.

What is unreasonable, unfair, and most importantly unlawful, are the so-called penalty charges they try to impose for breaching their rules. Nobody should ever pay those.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.
