Morning!! Thanks for the comments about my DS2. Feeling ok about it all - but I dare say the actual surgery/recovery won't be a lot of fun!
Got ebay listings ending today and tomorrow inc one with 11 watchers (that is a lot by my standards!). Also got paid for a week I did in June. With all of that lot & £20 I have sitting in my 1% envelope I am hoping to pull together another 1% by the end of the week. As I've now got a few hundred quid in cash I think I better open a savings account to keep my 1%'s in

And I also have my first childminding clients :T It's only occasional work but it's a start....

    Morning!

The pp money hit the business account so will be in the savers this evening! 10% oh yeah! Hoping i can put £210 from wages to the savers too, thats another 30% so hopefully we will be on 40%, Still awaiting my 4% from music magpie and then i need to earn 6% to reach the halfway mark, which im hoping ill get from these ebay sales. I will be VERY pleased if i can get 50%

Ebay listings end tomorrow and Sunday, got a few watchers and 1 or 2 bids so keeping my fingers crossed.

Got budgets for certain things this month, any money we dont spend on these things will go straight into savers. Ive got £25 set aside for each of these, monthly sling meet (mum and toddler day i co run), Eureka childrens museum visit tomorrow, 2 birthdays (presents and the kids party), Husbands birthday and hair appointment. Ive set £100 each for our wedding anniversary and a weekend hen do im on. So thats £325 allocated and im really hoping to put some of that back towards our %'s. Same goes for our petrol, groceries and pet food. Total for those is £420 for the month. Ive got 3 big trips this month in the car but the husband is back cycling to work so that will balance out i think. £100 is set aside for the plumber.

Really hoping ive not missed anything off. Im also looking into sorting out my car insurance this month for next. Its due 4th oct so if im right i can sort it out from 4th sept. It would certainly ease the burden next month if i can do it this month as ive got the plasterer booked in next month as need this plastering done before the baby arrives/winter sets in.

Off to the park now to enjoy the sunshine with the kids, hopefully tire them out so i get an hour peace when we return :) Got a few parcels to post this afternoon and work out a shopping list :o

I got taken on as permanent staff in my wonderful job that I utterly love :) So I decided that I don't need to keep an extra payment handy for my car loan. Put that in and brought myself up to 29% - Only a few pounds shy of 30 but will count a whole percent when it gets there. Signed up for my free credit report on Noddle, which gave me a very up to date version of my loan balance. It's currently sitting at £5400, so I've worked out my hypothetical savings (based on £250 a month) and what the loan balance will be and I've found the crossover point, which is currently next May on payday :) so I won't be saving for the full £5000 just for the loan; will pay that off as soon as I can rather than waiting to get to 5k. I suppose it makes a lot more sense - less interest to pay :) and can get to paying mum back as quickly as possible. Paid her back £1500 already so will only have 4.5k to go when the loan is paid off :)

I will be debt free, 1% at a time :)

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time

Im thinking we should take it upon ourselves to try and hit that target this week! 25 a day should do it for 6 days :o

Got a few bits i want to list tomorrow, All my ebay listings that end tomorrow that dont sell will all get relisted. Ive got 2 shelves to list, some clothes, magazines, toys and odds and sods, probably nothing near 150 but i will try!

We had budgeted £25 for todays day out. It was £31.28 :( Not a fantastic start but we did better than we would if i hadnt set a budget. But we had a fab day, the kids really enjoyed themselves (We went to Eureka, kids museum in Halifax for those interested) and it was a great family day out.

Bought a few bits on Ebay for the kids with my PP balance, mainly wooden toys/puzzles which they are really enjoying atm so money well spent. We dont buy weekly toys etc like a lot of other families i know do so looking forward to these arriving! (Will be selling a few toys too, we tend to replace rather than gather if possible!)

Got a busy week ahead with a consultant appt Tuesday for my pregnancy (parking fee £1.30 unavoidable), Thursday is the mums meet (£25 budget), Fri afternoon i have midwife (another parking fee), Saturday is swimming for my DD (paid for thankfully) and then a 1st birthday party in the afternoon then the Sun & Mon are our anniversary days (£100 budget) So inbetween all that i need to spend as little as possible :rotfl:

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! x

  • Sounds great Sarah - you're full of energy!

My ebay items sold for about £40-45 this weekend, so with that & £15 I have sitting upstairs I will top up to £80 from my current account so will definately hit 9% this week. I just want to wait for all the money to be in my hands before I declare it!
Will deffo make use of free listing.... Maybe try to hit 20 items...? Might use it as an opportunity to list some things for more than 99p. Always start at 99p bt I have stuff that I wouldn't want to risk selling for that amount....
