Little Miss,
Your doing well, I can't wait til payday on Friday to get started on my %'s, until then can think of some ideas of how to make £47. Thinking cap is on!

This is definitely the challenge for me if I can join please! We are just going to include debt with interest on for now. We want a holiday and a new car and have decided when debt with interest is paid off we can get these. So I'm looking at 100 ways to make £45!
So far:
1% & 2%: sold freezer for £84 plus £6 top up
3%: £20 for selling games (£25 to go!)
We want to this by christmas at the latest so we need about 4% a week too!£20 a day April 2014 £834.87/£600 :j
£20 a day May 2014 £108.45/£6000 -
I can't believe how well you are doing here. Subscribed and watching with interest.Debt in 2008 - £26000 Current debt - £59490

Wow! You've done great! Well done. :j It's a very positive and inspiring way of looking at it.
Once payday comes around I will be totalling up what I want to pay off/save then I will set myself a target and join you on this fab challenge, if I may?
Until then, I will be watching with great interest0 -
Thanks guys, you've all kept me very motivated!
@Fae - I hope so! I can't remember what it feels like not to owe anything. It's probably 10 years ago since I was last totally debt free!
@Everhopeful09 - Thanks! Oooh £47 - wish my 1%'s were that lowI went round my house with a plastic crate finding ebayable things. They should make up my next 4%
@Natterjack88 - Sure! I hope it works well for you! It's nice to feel happy and satisfied when you've done small increments. Before even when I had a great week I was always grumping wishing I could pay more. Now I'm happy with each and every 1%.
@sc1 - Cheers! Please let me know if you have any ideas for my 1% list! You've done very well on your journey so far. How have you done it?! :T
@toriaterrier - It would be great if you joined in! Let me know how you get on, on payday and what your 1% is. Once you start making a list it's hard not to keep thinking of new things to add!0 -
I'm in a bit of a dilemma folks.
I've got a ticket to an event this weekend - that I'd forgotten about.
Now I know I could probably sell it for £80+ (how ironic! that's my 1%) as it's very popular.
I've been dying to go to this event for a couple of years now. As paulmapp8306 has said on this thread "everyone needs a hobby"
I'm quite happy to sell 'things' - it's experiences, travel and adventure that are my weak spot! I really enjoy meeting new people and being social!
The ticket is all paid for so that's ok and it includes food and accomodation. The only trouble is, is that getting there would eat my weekly overpayment this week.
If I go - weekly total will be 3%
If I don't go but can't sell the ticket - weekly total will be 4%
If I don't go and manage to sell the ticket - weekly total will be 5%
Argh, THIS is when paying debts off becomes tough.
When things you REALLY want to do crop up.
The only pros are - I could meet some great folks with the same interests as me, it could lead to starting my little business idea which may bring in extra revenue in the future, it'll be fun (and I don't get much of that!)
Any suggestions guys?

Its a no-brainer LMUD, go and enjoy the event, for me doing anything challanging is only achievable if you allow yourself the odd treat along the way, and id say its the same with saving.
Go and enjoy it!!0 -
I agree with Skinto, you can't deny yourself everything, it's all about balance, and you will still be paying of 3% that's really good going.
