Well I had a great day out at the Olympics yesterday seeing Rebecca Addlington race and even got to meet some of the Canadian Swim team!
Had some of my ebay items end yesterday too and have made £50 from 5 items! One item i put up sold for over twice what i paid for it so was very happy with that one! This brings we back up to 1% of fund 1 (loan) and a small start to fund 2 (savings). Have a few more days left on another item which has a starting bid of £50 (no bids yet but 8 watchers) so fingers crossed for that to sell for a good price as well. Will update you all when the final figure come in!0 -
Yay to 100 members! I have still been making payments as much as possible, but forgetting to post and keep a proper tally
but my total paid has now reached 20%, helped by some extra work this month. Did a car boot last week but only came out with £21 profit after splitting with OH, got lots of stuff left so may risk another this weekend. Can feel myself starting to lose heart with the big picture, so really need to refocus on a % at a time.

Relisted all my eBay items last weekend and a few sold this weekend so I'll have that to add once I've posted everything and sorted what I've sold for other people.
Got to work to find a massive bin bag full of clothes to sell for a colleague for a 20% cut. Had a little look and most are brand new with tags so that'll be great.
I've made a massive list of things to do when I get home - take photos and descriptions of eBay things to then list during lunch and breaks tomorrow using the iPhone app, post to a livejournal selling community, sort through my cheap cosmetics to do a 20p box at a bootsale and find the rest of the eBay items I've sold but not parcelled.
I'm on £24.95 on Pureprofile...cash out at £25. Come onnnnn.I like to make money

I know close to the end of the month or just after payday it can get difficult to see how you're going to keep on with paying the debt when you've got lots of other things that might change your usual schedule (school hols, trips away, emergencies)
Don't worry guys!
1%ing is meant to be fun (new ways, different ideas)
It's small steps where you can take a break in between percents and then pick right back up where you left of.
It keeps you mindful of spending
It gives you a chance to celebrate every step of the way
If you usually keep your debt private, 1%ing gives you a chance to talk about it & share your progress with friends and family - in percents. No need to use actual figures, but they can still support your progress and know your situation.
Be happy with what you have done and keep it pressure free. Don't forget - the only thing that matters with debt is the next 1%.
I'd just like to add a few suggestions of other things you can try that doesn't neccesarily mean more 1%'s coming out of your salary.
1)Check PayPal account for hidden funds (or Elance, etsy - anywhere you earn) Penny jars, unused ISAs, car ashtrays, down the back of the settee
2)Look through standing orders & direct debits to check they are the right amount or if they're for things that you no longer need.
3)Make a list of any bank charges or CC fees applied, for the price of a couple of stamps & a letter, you may get them returned.
4)Consider if you may have had PPI and not be aware of it (Capital One added insurance to my card without asking - I only noticed it by chance) One of the main reasons people aren't claiming PPI back is because it was added to their loan without them knowing! It's well worth a read of the PPI guide on here!
5)If you enjoy surfing the web you can sign up for UserTesting.com and give feedback to people on their websites, what you like/don't etc. You get $10 for a 15min spoken review.
1%'s can come from anywhere - even when you're least expecting it. Recognising them when they occur helps you to make progress even when you're focusing on other things. :j0 -
Ok. Paid for the postage last month £56  luckily we have some PP money being transferred for that, its less than the actual cost but it helps.
Got £1000 set aside for my car now (from our wages/overtime), hopefully £1200 but i need the husband to check the savers and move the money into the account with the £1000 in. That will be just over 26% towards our target. £1200/£4500 :j just got to make sure it stays there now.
Will be overpaying CC bill by about £20 so that will help that a bit, though doubtful if we can get anything else onto that but we will see
Going to be Very very tight this month if we arent to dip into the car fund so i need some new ideas on making some money. Had 6 valued opinions surveys to do but didnt qualify for them or they were closed.Finding more 99p things for Ebay. Really need my Camera to sell, it cost me £1.50 to list last time and only had 1 watcher so a bit apprehensive to list again just yet.

Got a few maternity bits im not likely to wear the next 14 weeks that i have left. Some are just too small as im unsure on my size atm and some just arent me. Got alot of it second hand or in the sale so hoping ill atleast get back what i paid for themSo far ive found 2 tops, a dress and a skirt and possibly a few cargo pants i bought for £3 each in the next sale. Still with original tags for £25  Might be able to get a % that way. That would be good and % for my camera if i can sell it.
Must keep thinking!! Husband will be doing 40 hours overtime a month from this month and then on call. Think its about £25 an hour but not sure what that equates to net. He usually does about 20-30 hours IIRC so should be getting some extra there! Just hope tax credits send me my form to say what we are getting or more like what we owe! im sure we will owe them moneyDoes my head in.

Tesco are running a club card points offer. Spend 3x £50 or more throughout august (ordered and delivered by 31st) and get 300 extra club card points per shop when you order then if you do all 3 shops you get a bonus of 600 clubcard points :T thinking it would be good to change into vouchers for days out to save cash, says worth £60 in rewards
I amended this mornings order to include my 300 clubcrd points.
Here are the codes :
