Hi
I stumbled across your thread and thought this was a brilliant idea. When you break it down to 1% it makes it feel less daunting at the amount you actually owe and like most people have pointed out can be used towards any goal.
Can you add me to the list? My aim is about £105.00 per month, although I do tend to pay off about £30-£40 extra towards my highest rate card but this amount together with the minimum payment nearly equates to 1% (although I know the idea is to pay 1% above minimum).Did owe £9,951.96

Hi Little Miss,
Thanks for adding me to the list. Have decided to tackle one debt at a time. Credit Card £4000. so 1% is £40.1% at a time No 66 £4000 5/1000 -
£1167.47, thats my total on the two cards I'm paying off with this challenge. Not including the £8000 odds I owe to my sister, paying that back at £300 a month interest free :-)
So, £11.68 (ish) will be my 1%
Bloody hell that's not a lot at all, is it? Starting from today then, I'm all in!
MrZeps is out tonight, so will get the bookcase raked through and see what I can get rid ofCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
:Hey little miss - Number 38 checking in!
Can you put me down for £9800 - (my 1% being £98) This is my credit/store card debt. I have not included my loan as it has no interest remaining, nearly finished and doesn't except overpayments.
So i will continue to make my minimum payments to my credit/store cards and then aim for my 1% to pay on top of that.
So far I have paid 0% , still need to find £8 to make up my first %March'13 - Debt £13000 :eek:Total % paid - 0%0 -
Wow I was going to come and ask for a number and lo and behold I am already up there!
BRILLIANT.
ok. so I need to have £10,000 realistically. or unrealistically. I already save 500 ish a month - this is for a house deposit.....
So my 1% will be 100 pounds.
feels good to have a challenge again.
thank you xxxx and good luck all xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Morning folks!
This can be the official party thread here today as it's my birthday!A very MSE one this year but it feels good!
Ten years ago (at 18) is probably the last time I can remember when I had zero credit/debt & a nice sum of £'s in the bank.
Today I'd like to raise a toast to all of you folks working hard to put things right! Here's to clearing debt & a brighter future because of our determination! Cheers!
