Good morning everyone!
Hope you've all had a nice (but MSE) weekend! I've sold a couple of expensive items on ebay (1% each) so that's a great start to the week!
Ahh earning while I sleepit's the future! :rotfl:
Another year older tomorrow _party_ so I'm out in the evening for a little treat so I'm really looking forward to that.
It's shaping up to be a fab week - some good 1%'s coming in AND some fun too!
Really nice to see folks popping over from LondonGirls diary! I hope you all join in too! The more ideas the better!
Considering setting up a little list on the front page to show everyone taking part in this challenge and I can keep it updated with your %'s so far. Give me the nod and i'll do it!0 -
Well done everyone, seems like a positive weekend has been had by all
I listed 25 things on ebay so now checking to see if ive had any bids/watchers. Got lots of watchers and 2 bids so ive earned a minimum of £4.99 there but its early days, a few items already have 4 watcher on!! I didnt get chance to do my DVD collection so ill probably cash them in i think, save me posting things off seperately as it will cost me a fortune in postage sleeves. Is music magpie the only place that cash DVDs or do Amazon or somewhere do it?

Hi, can i ask what this is
14)Set up an Amazon affiliate site (site now set up! 21 clicks so far - Revenue will take a long time though)
Hey billysmum - I built a website that basically shows products from Amazon. In my case I chose to write articles on headphones and then at the end of each article there are photos of the products, prices and the option to buy.
If anyone clicks the link and goes to Amazon, if they purchase anything from Amazon within the next 24 hours - I get about 4-5% commission from Amazon.
Basically, any time it reaches £100 in commission they send me a cheque, but it's a long slow process. Doesn't cost me anything to set/up or run really though.0 -

I love the idea of a list on the front page, it would help to motivate me

Well MusicMagpie are good for just getting rid of them in one go. You would probably get more for each DVD if you listed them and sold them on Amazon/ebay. Don't know how that would work with postage costs though.
There's also www.webuy.com and www.cash4discs.co.uk but I've never used either of those so I can't say how good their service/prices are! I'm sure it's good to check around though!0 -
Music magpie want to offer me £9.84 for 28 discs
Is there any where else id get more? Or should i save them for a car boot and offer them at 50p-£1 each (£14-28) ?

Hi all
I think this is a fantastic idea - it makes it seem so much more manageable.
Part of my problem is that I overspend on payday, use any little bits of extra money coming in to make it to the end of the month, get fed up and go bonkers again on payday.
I've signed up to the one debt v 100 days challenge and need to find an extra £1914, so I'm going to try and save the 1% in a separate account for this. Seeing as I'm already in the 'make it to payday" situation this month, I'm going to aim for 1% by the end of the month and try and find some ways to break out of the boom and bust cycle.
Thank you for the inspirationWaste not, want not!

This weekend we have sorted through all our clothes and have a bag for eBay, two bags for charity and a bag for the bin (is there a place we can be paid by the kilo for the material instead of throwing it away?)
I think it's best to have a look around you locally so you can drop it off to them or have them collect if from you on their rounds.
The only ones I know of are
www.cashforclothing.co.uk (50p per kg)
www.jendacollections.co.uk (40p per kg
www.sellmyclothes.co.uk (£1+ per kg + free courier collection)
www.returntoearn.co.uk (60p per kg)
www.clothesbank.co.uk (60p per kg)
I've not used any of these. The only one I've ever used was a local shop I dropped off to. Hope these help though!0 -
