Got paid by music magpie today - a whopping £4.58! Took just under 3 weeks from me dropping my parcel off to money in the bank, seems quick enough to me...

My CEX order is processing - as soon as that pays out I will finally be at 17%! It's so frustrating waiting for the last few pounds. This % has been a reall dribs & drabs one of a few quid, a few quid there.....
    1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100
    MFW 2013 no. 62 £10,000/£10,000
    MFW 2014 no 62 £8000/£7000
  • Had a cash back cheque come in from work yesterday, shared with my DH and then had to buy new clothes (Ive lost weight so a lot of my others don't fit now (kitted my self out for £30!)) eBay can have my others that don't fit along with some to the charity shop

the remainder of the cheque is a % put towards my total :j

    so i am now at 6% :T

    xx

Anyone know of ways to earn Amazon gift cards? Like surveys, questionnaires, trade ins etc? My mum is looking for ways to fund her Kindle book habit :)

    Hope you're all doing well!

Swagbucks has surveys, videos and lots of other stuff, and you can redeem points for Amazon gift cards. Great thread about it HERE.

Ipsos has surveys that you complete to earn points which can also be redeemed for Amazon vouchers. They were recently rated the #1 survey company by the MSE team.

    :)

  • Have finally made my first overpayment on my new total

    #196 £98.64/ £6200 equals 1.5%/100%

It seemed to take ages to get started on this, but hopefully I can now make a regular payment of 1% every month which will make make DFD February 2018. That still seems a long way away, but that's allowing me to build up an emergency fund, and I can pay off lump sums when I manage to save them up ( all those pennies and £2s in the piggy bank)

    Savings goal £30,000 1% = £300.

  • Hello all!
Wow well I haven't been on in a while... our situation has dramatically changed in that we have bought a house! It is still being built so can't complete until June however we exchange in 3 weeks!

Having decided that being on the market a year already, my OH's house is not going anywhere soon we haev decided to let it out and borrow little extra from family to make up difference for a 20% deposit.

So my figures are going to have to drastically change and actually, my original money (to pay off car) is going to be last of priorities now!!!!

    So... (eek!)

    New figures:

    Debt 1 (family) £8,000 0%
Debt 2 (credit card, which is on 0% until July so aiming to pay it off before we complete) £2500 0%
Debt 3 (Car lump payment) £2500 32% saved ( was more but have had to dip into that oopsie!)

    Here goes...!

    Hi all!

Happy to report another 2% bringing my total up to 49%, took my parents to the airport this morning to catch a flight for their holiday, and will be picking them up on their return, and despite the fact I didn't want any money for it as I work near to the airport and only a few miles out the way, my Dad gave me £50! :D I did try (quite hard) to persuade him to just call it £20, but he insisted, saying it's normally £60 in a taxi.

So thought I'd declare it on here straight away before I'm tempted to spend it on beer money or something.

Keep going everyone, we're in March now and I always feel psychologically better getting out of Jan/Feb, and hopefully away from the bad weather. So will try and get back on e-Bay with my new enthusiasm,
