  • Hey all,

Hope things are going well for everyone! It has been very sunny here today, it's been so nice to go out & about without having to trudge through ice & snow. Winter seems to be over, hurrah! :)

All the work we're doing at the mo is stuff that will pay off later in the year.
Our wedding biz has got very busy all of a sudden these last 2 weekends which is great news. July, Aug & Sept will be crazy for us but hopefully very rewarding.

Been doing a lot of writing in my spare time (another thing that is a long haul project! :D) Still working from home but need to up my income so on the hunt for p/t jobs.

As others have mentioned I'm toying with the idea of putting us back on the DFW board, fresh new thread - named as the 1% at a time Challenge.

Obviously I know a lot of people have subscribed here and I know there is a chance the mods might move us back to the diaries again. However I thought it was worth a try, to bring a bit of life back, more new ideas, more new joiners - hopefully helping lots more people.

I'd wrap this thread up and ensure a link was on the first & last page so folks know where we are. I'll also msg each member with the link to the new thread.

What do you reckon guys? I appreciate your input. Move or Stay? Thx

    Little Miss xx

Hey little miss! I'm easy either way I'm subscribed here but can easily subscribe to another thread.
Glad to hear things are going ok for you - hope it all picks up a bit soon....
M ebook is almost finished (thank you for pushing me to start it!). Just doing the corrections this week that my mum found when proofreading it. Then I'm ready to upload to kindle and maybe think about doing a wordpress site (think thats what I mean to say...).
Weather here is lovely today as well - threw kids in the garden all morning!!!

Am almost at 17% from bits & bobs..... If only I could curb my emotional eating my life would be getting on track ;)

On this note - if anyone knows anything about tackling emotional eating (good books to read etc) I would appreciate any tips as its really getting me down that I can't lose weight and I'm pretty sure its because I eat when I'm bored and unhappy (which both occur quite a bit :o). Bit off topic, sorry!

    Hi LMUD!

Personally, i think a change is as good as a rest, more people coming on board will help give a good uplift in ideas (and personally a good kick up the backside and get on with the %'s!!!)

I can see the pro's and con's for both but you don't know until you try and if they move us back then they move us back! I'll be following wherever :)

p.s i have another 1% on the tally!!!!

  • I was just about to subscribe and ask to join up. I will wait for a bit though to see I think. :)
  • I don't mind if it gets moved as long as there's a link to the new thread here so I can subscribe to the new one. I'm determined to do this!

    Hi all

I joined this challenge at the start but fell at the wayside very quickly and increased my debt:o:o.

I would like to join again as my debt is at £2100 which is lots of £21 = 1%.

It would be good starting with a new thread but quite happy to tag along at the end
    :)

I'm using this months Council Tax £125 towards my %s, good job as been v quiet this year so far, and by the lack of activity on here I'm guessing other people are still feeling the Xmas pinch as well.

Hoping to get a bit on e-Bay soon though as got some old trains I want to sell, which will hopefully bring in about £100 if I'm lucky. Kept hold of them in case I had boys, but 2 girls who haven't the slightest interest if not pink or dolls, so to e-Bay they go!:D

  • I've just parceled up some DVDs and stuff to send to CEX. Was a bit wary so I've just sent about £12's worth of stuff to trial how it goes. Will keep you informed....

Music magpie: sent them some stuff 2 weeks ago and they said today that they will pay me within 2 working days so that seems pretty smooth. Mostly though CEX offered better prices (sometimes MUCh better prices) so hopefully all will go well with this transaction and I can send them some of my higher value stuff.
