    Hi everyone,

I've had a good month - I've made all the minimum payments, and have had to splash out on heating oil in a lump sum - but all without going into more credit. I have also got a new job - all happened very quickly, but it included a £6K payrise and a car - this was the luckiest thing of all as my MOT expired last thursday and I picked up the car yesterday. I know my old banger was not going to get through, and we were going to have to spend out a load, so this is a massive relief (and phew, we can get some heating oil!).
Its only a 12 month secondment so it won't last forever - so the plan is to clear the credit card (£4500) during that time and save up for a new car. Need to work it all out -and may decide to change my target % as a result to really focus on this. My husband is usually much busier in the winter too - so hopefully all things combined, we can make good inroads. So on the one hand, all really good news, but on the other I do feel a bit dispirited....We only moved house in October, and before the move I was really making inroads, so I feel a bit dispirited that the % are only moving slowly at the moment. Time to stay focussed and regain some patience:D - and "thanks" to this thread as keeping in touch really does help with that.

So for now - my update is #79 - 6% paid off

    Thanks Hanliam

    Hi again,
I have made some payments tonight as its payday. Have the monthly payments on my loans and stuff but I haven't counted these into my initial target. I only included stuff that is gaining interest each month.
SO, I have paid off my catalogue, caught up on my credit card and paid an outstanding bill from old address.
    Thats a total of £297 paid off = 11.8 ish%.
If anyone is good at working out %ages, then please let me know the exact amount. As you can probably tell by my money situation, i,m not too good with sums :rotfl:

  • Hello Little Miss

I'm a bit of a lurker on here but I'd love tips on how to get started with eLance and fivesquids. On second thoughts - perhaps you could offer the start-up guides on fivesquids itself?

Good idea, I'll give it a try!
