Any tips for Amsterdam - I'm having no luck using hotelscomparison

Which hotels - the two most likely I thought were the Hem and Barbizon Palace - but I can't seems to find a big enough difference

I'm pretty flexible on dates so are there any days of the week that are good and I'll probably be on my own - so am I better searching for a single or a double with single occupancy?

    Thanks everyone!

They got more competative on the NH Barbizon Palace but NH Caranza used to come up sometimes with a good difference.

Still better than a smack in the face! x

I've just had some great news. There was a shop I fell in love with in Paris (Mia Zia) that I just couldn't afford. But I have just found out that all the items are made in Marrakech (possibly why I loved the items so much?!!) ... and they have a factory shop!!! x

I would appreciate it if someone would help me out on this one...is there any reason why this would not work? I'd rather not lose this much money...

    EJHotels:
NH Budapest, Apr 28-30. Double/Twin standard. Total price: GBP 309 (w/o breakfast), GBP 361 (w/ breakfast).

    HotelConnect.co.uk:
NH Budapest, Apr 28-30. Twin room. Total price: GBP 193.80 (w/breakfast).

    Are my calculations correct?

    Due to EJHotels: GBP 361
    Resulting refund: (GBP 361 - GBP 193.80)*2 = GBP 334
    Cost of room: GBP 361 - GBP 334 = GBP 27

    Brilliant thread! :T

Thanks! The claim was handled in just a few hours, and it was a great success! Two nights in a 4* Budapest hotel at GBP 27 is quite OK :D

Another question - what about cases where the lower rate at another website disappears between the time of booking at EJH and the claim is handled by EJH? Is a screenshot or printout enough for a refund, or would I be out of luck and have to eat the full cost of the room? Or would a refund without cancellation fee be possible? Anyone with experience?
