  • We are only going for 5 nights and the flights are already booked. It is really that I can`t decide if we want sc, a hotel half board or all inclusive. I want some where to park the car and a "good value" stay. I was hoping that some where would Jump out to steer towards a decision as there is so much choice.
Also does on request also count or does it need to be completly bookable at once.

On requests do not count, though always worth going on to the actual website to see if it is definitely an on request (sometimes they will show up as available to book immediately).

With regards what board basis to book, I often find that the more meals you book, the better a deal you get! x

The best value I can see is

4* OLA CLUB MAIORIS in Cala Blava

    EJH dbl/twin All inclusive £404
    Holidaynights dbl/twin All inclusive £306.52
    diff= 97.48
    times 2 = 194.96
    Effective price = 404 - 194.96 = £209.04

As you can see, aprox 30% saving of the best achievable price of £306.52

Made a booking yesterday, still didn't get confirmation of refund but already planning the next break

Does anyone if Dublin still qualify? It should do since the website still shows that on every Dublin's hotel but I read EJH was saying the double guarantee is not valid for Dublin anymore.

    thanks

you should get your confirmation of receipt of the claim quite quickly and I usually get the confirmation of claim within two days. but maybe i've just been lucky? if in doubt, chase them!

    Hi all,

I had my refund authorised to be paid after my stay which is in two weeks.

I have a privelege card with the chain of hotels I am staying with, these entitle me to an upgrade to a better room if one is available. The upgrade may be applied upon checkin.

Is this likely to affect my refund. (ie could easyjet refuse to pay as I may stay in a better room than what was pricematched).

    Thanks, John

I cannot see how Easyjethotels would know. Any upgrade would be between you and the hotel.

I got a pricematch for Dublin this week. They knocked it back at first, only when I disputed it and sent a screenshot of EJH search page showing the DD guarantee under the hotels. They relented as a "goodwill jesture".

Its a pays your money and take a chance situation.
BTW I pricematched 3* IMI residence - Twin room B+B (its just outside Dublin) against Expedia.co.uk

If you are really brave, depending on if your flight prices are more than a total of £20 (+ taxes+fees) you could try a double budget airline hit :D
Book a hotel via ryanairhotels . This gives you access to special "FREE FLIGHT"(+ taxes +fees) booking page (subject to t&cs.) Book flights (up to 30 June) afterwards cancel hotel booking, for aprox £18.50 admin fee. up to 24hrs- 72 hrs b4 arrival. ( so keep booking open until EJH confirm) Then book hotel via EJH for DD

I havent tried this, as my flights have been booked for months. It really depends on dates you choose, how much the original fare is and if you can get it free via the hotel booking confirmation method.

    Your total risk would be
ryanairhotels £18.50 cancelation fee but you could save on fares or
EJH £20 cancelation fee (they may or may not honour it)
