Ahhhh, thanks for that GlennTheBaker... my thanks button doesn't appear to be working but will try it again later.

I looked for hours last night and finally started getting into the swing of things when it got too late and I had to go to bed. Tried again this afternoon and just couldn't seem to find anything.....

Have had a look for the apsis atrium palace that you suggested, looked like a great deal. When I checked the details on hotelscomparison they do show the price your quoted in the same box (as if it's the same hotel) but when I looked into it further it show up as 'hotel palace' on the hotelopia info and book it links. They have very similar addresses... hotel palace is 668 GRAN VIA LES CORTS CATALANES and apsis atrium palace is 656 GRAN VIA DE LES CORTS CATALANES, but do appear to be different hotels. I think that hotelscomparison has made a mistake with this one Please correct me if I'm wrong.... I hope I am 'cos these dates are perfect!!

I am struggling to find anything worthwhile for Majorca for the first week in July. Do you think that it will be better nearer the time, that Majorca is too popular or that it is in season and that there are no good deals. Thanks in advance for your advice.

It really depends what you want to get from this. A 30% saving on your best price is very achievable, for just about anywhere as long as compromises are made regarding date, hotel and duration.
Whats wrong with doing 3/4 days with EJH and rest of stay with other supplier ?
Glen The Baker, followed by TBecket100 were the first to get "FREE STAYS" but to be honest, the original intention was only to lower the price, not to wipe it out !
EJH and Hotelopia, are very competitive and in fact "BEST VALUE" for many destinations, depending which hotel taking account discount codes and the likes of quidco (for extra value)

I never stick to just one strategy. Its the "BOTTOM LINE" that counts ultimately.
