OP, just read through this website it's the direct.gov page on ESA, it's pretty easy to follow.

Maybe if you give up your illegal actions your anxiety and depression will get better? Surely dealing drugs involves organisation, networking, accounting skills etc... Cant see why you couldn't do a legal job.

Why do you need to claim benefits any way? Surely you made enough money selling poison to young kids, and it's probably the reason why you feel depressed and anxious, oh silly me, dealers don't take that crap themselves do they, making sure addicts come back for more is their job
not all on benefits are scroungers and don't need to be bullied!

OP you will fill in a form. If you then qualify ie, no partner earning loads, you will be on in the assessment phase for about 13 weeks. After this you will have a "medical" to see whether your able to work or not. If you get that far and pass, you will be in either a work group or a support group.

When your life is a mess, stop and think what you are doing before bringing more kids into it, it's not fair on them.

Op... people with MH problems do get ESA. It isn't always straightforward. Initial application should be easy enough and can be done over phone... ineed's link above has the link for applying. Qualification for the benefit will probably require sicknotes from your doctor. After about 3 months you should be assessed for entitlement to the main phase of ESA which has two groups. You can qualify for these groups based on the effects your illnesses have on day to day function... you can look into that in more detail if necessary at this time.

So OP gets turned down for JSA - which they believed was right for them as could work and no reason why not because they are classed as being a Student now they can claim ESA.

    How does that work?

One thing I don't understand, when it comes to MH, is, how come someone can do all the fun stuff, with no panic attacks, etc, but, the minute it comes to something job related, it's panic attacks and tears?

When you think of all the planning that has to go into going away for days at a time, and there are no MH issues, instead there's lots of fun, why does it all come crashing down when boring stuff is involved?

*Not talking about everyone with MH conditions.
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.
