Thought i would bring another Isa to people's attention. This one has actually gone UP !! it is the Norwich and Peterborough 1 year fixed rate ISA at 6.10%.

Off to enquire about it tomorrow as there is a branch near where i work, and as they are not known normally for decent rates it is worth having.

Is it only possible to open it in branch?

In branch or by post according to this. Most of my savings are via the internet, but i thought it would be handy to perhaps use local facilities,as my computer was down last week and i was panicking a bit as i wanted to transfer some money and realised how much i depend on the damn thing!!!

Very few accept transfers in! I wish the table-toppers would do so.

At least 3 of those in the Moneyfacts table accept inward transfers Nationwide, Julian Hodge Bank & Halifax - haven't checked the others.

Bumping this because it fell off the first page again! People can't use this great resource if they can't find it easily!

I have just transferred into a Halifax fixed rate Cash ISA today, Friday 9th May, and it is still at 6% for one year. I was afraid they might have dropped the rate, but they haven't, if anyone is interested.

Was it an instant transfer? ie is the cash already with the Halifax? How long did it take?

    Thanks.
