StephenT said:Charter Savings Bank 1 Year Fixed Rate ISA - was just about to apply but reading the T+C's it appear to be saying that you cant open one with them if you have opened another ISA this tax year - I thought that had changed and you could have several as long as the total didn't exceed £20K. Ive already put £10K into Chip's ISA which is variable and was going to put another £10K into a fixed. Anyone else read the T+C on Charter's Fixed Rate ISA as that? Not as bad as Kent Reliance's stance on this. They threaten to "fine" you (claw back interest) if they find out you've opened a cash ISA elsewhere!"If you open a cash ISA with us, and we’re subsequently informed that you already have a current tax year cash ISA with another provider, we’ll amend the opening date of your Kent Reliance ISA to the official transfer date - normally the date your other ISA provider transferred funds to us. This will be deemed as the date we accept your subscription and you won’t earn interest prior to this date."

Kent Reliance find out you have another Cash ISA from the current tax year because you attempt to transfer it in to them. So don't.Reed0

How many days are KR fining you?
Can`t be any if the other provider is in the electronic transfer system because it`s usually done the same day.
Obviously if it`s a cheque (like Marcus does) then it would be a number of days.0 -
Crystal ball time.....pecunianonolet said:Chip App shows me the option to register early for cash ISA transfers so looks like they will introduce a transfer in opportunity, which was so far unavailable.

Has anybody contacted CHIP or does anyone have any current info on what ISA's they will accept for transfers when it becomes accessible?
Thanks0 -
I would imagine an app-based bank like Chip will want to avoid using paper forms and cheques, so they'll probably stick to providers who use the BACs ISA transfer service such as those on this list...DaveyCee said:

I opened a 212 cash isa account on 30.5.24. I requested a transfer of £1k from my £20k Cynergy isa. Since then ... nothing. No notifications. When I log in, a "You are almost there" window pops up and asks me to "Add funds". There are just my personal and account details. Nothing about pending transfers, or anything else that I can see.Is this normal or perhaps I've done something wrong?0

Does the transfer request show under Portfolio Transfers?ortolickus said:I opened a 212 cash isa account on 30.5.24. I requested a transfer of £1k from my £20k Cynergy isa. Since then ... nothing. Looking at opening a cash ISA for this tax year.
I've seen that Chase has been posted on here at 5.1% and it's also flexible which is great as I can move some extra money in to avoid going over my PSA.
Are there any fixed cash ISAs that allow you to top it up throughout the tax year please?0 -
Shawbrook do, for new money: "Please note that the Bank reserves the right to withdraw this product at any time. If the product is withdrawn, you can continue to put more money into your account until the expiry of the fixed term." Not guaranteed for transfers: "Transfer requests received after your initial account application may be refused."pookey said:Looking at opening a cash ISA for this tax year.
