Shawbrook has come back with a 1yr fix @ 4.91% issue 91.2

What do you think is the likelihood that these top rate EA ISA's from places like Plum and Moneybox will keep their existing rates for existing customers and just drop the rates for new issues?0

In March Moneybox increased the bonus for new customers only and left their base rate untouched. I guess they could decrease the bonus in the future for only new customers.andyhicks88 said:What do you think is the likelihood that these top rate EA ISA's from places like Plum and Moneybox will keep their existing rates for existing customers and just drop the rates for new issues?0 -
That makes them top of the list. Hope it's the start of a battle again to offer best rates now that we are in the new tax year!2010 said:Shawbrook has come back with a 1yr fix @ 4.91% issue 91.0 -
OakNorth have pulled all ISA’s
Aldermore ISA has been closed
Paragon is for existing customers
Shawbrook has terrible reviews.I’m holding out at the moment to see what comes available over the next week.0 -
I have had a good experience, prompt and excellent customer service from Shawbrook whenever I contacted them and everything worked as advertised.buzzman888 said:OakNorth have pulled all ISA’s

As I'm just about to open a new one with them, could you point me to any of these terrible reviews please?0 -
OakNorth, like many other ISA providers, suspended new ISA applications last week in the run-up to the new tax year and haven't announced their new rates yet. I was expecting them to be available today but they're obviously still deciding what to do as their site current states "At this time, we do not yet have a confirmed date for when applications for any OakNorth ISAs will be re-opened".buzzman888 said:OakNorth have pulled all ISA’s

It's only the 1-year cash ISA that Aldermore have pulled - it will have been very popular as it was the only fixed rate cash ISA that relaunched at 5% over the weekend.
Paragon - just as with Aldermore, it's only the 1 year fix that's affected. Paragon limit certain accounts to existing customers occasionally instead of withdrawing them completely, so this isn't unusual.
Shawbrook - I've held many different types of savings account with them in recent years (including ISAs) and never had an issue. Reviews for banks on places like Trust Pilot are predominantly negative as people like to complain more than they like to praise.0 -
Aldermore's 5% 1 year fix is still available to existing account holders - I checked this morning. I wonder what would happen if somebody opened one of the easy access accounts (ISA or not) and then chose the option to open another account?2

Well good news - KRBS 5.04% 1 year fix reappeared in OHs ac this morning and was subsequently funded.soulsaver said:
Unfortunately KRBS has 'disappeared' the 5.04% accounts that we opened only to find that they wouldn't allow funding at the w.e. to comply with the 7 day rule. So stymied atm.soulsaver said:Kent Reliance
Bit niche but maybe useful for some:
After maxing her SIPP 23/24 end contribution, my OH hadn't the funds to immediately max her 24/25 ISA, too.
So earlier in the week* we grabbed the KRBS I yr Isa fix at 5.04% (40%er so equiv to 8.4% taxable) intending to fund it through 24/25.
So she'll use the best RSs (obviously, above 5.04%) to use her £500 PSA limit, then drip feed the ISA as residual cash becomes available from her salary month by month.
*I'll let you know whether it works Monday 'cos the spanner in the plan was finding KRBS don't allow funding at the w.e....(6/04 is/was Saturday) so the min £1k opening internal transfer from their EA ac now will miss the 7 day window... fgs! If they bounce it, it'll prob be the 4.70% version.
I'll message them tomorrow and test their resolve to deny the accounts '...because KRBS stopped us complying by denying funding at the w.e. '
Failing that, planB - I've opened the KRBS 4.70% topper upper fix.
If no backtracking, jobsagoodun...
