I have a regular savings account with AldermoreUmiamz said:That site is out of date. Aldermore 5% 1yr fix is no longer available and the Zopa 1yr fix was reduced to 4.9% yesterday.
The 1 yr fixed rate ISA 5% is listed and available (at least for now)
I just opened one (at least i hope i have !

I assume all these top EA ISA rates will come down over the next couple of months and so, seeing as I'm willing and able, it probably makes more sense to put my 20k in a fixed rate right? I opened one a week or so ago at 5.07% so have one ready to go.0

It's available via your Aldermore account but no longer available for new customers. The website is just showing the 2yr fix now.Xenon said:

My impression was that when they introduced it, existing customers continued to get 5.08% while new customers got 4.58% + the 0.50% bonus. If you are currently getting 5.08% I suspect that you'll be better off keeping the account you've got. Open a Smart ISA before 6th May 2024 to earn an extra 0.5% AER*/gross** fixed on top of the underlying 4.58% AER (4.48% gross) variable Access ISA pot rate.
This means you'll earn a total of 5.08% AER (4.96% gross) variable on Access ISA pots!
The bonus rate will run until 6th May 2025.
Just trying to get my head around whether I should update mine somehow as its 0.50% bonus expires on 6 April 2025.

Just be aware, that once you fix you CANNOT transfer out the funds in the easy access pot.MisterMotivated said:I opened a new 5% fixed pot with Zopa on 5 April on the assumption that they would reduce the rate at some point (probably the following day). I now have to decide how much of my funds to fix before the 30 day window closes as they're currently in the access pot at 5.08%0 -
I'm in the same boat. I've already moved some of my money to the 1 year fix and I'll probably move the rest that's currently in the Access ISA pot just before the window closes (24 April for me). Just waiting at the moment in case something dramatic happens in the market.MisterMotivated said:I opened a new 5% fixed pot with Zopa on 5 April on the assumption that they would reduce the rate at some point (probably the following day). Indeed, you can't transfer out just the easy access pot. You've got to transfer the easy access and all your fixed rate pots too, which could involve big penalties. More me this means I won't have more than one fix rate ISA with them.pecunianonolet said:

The easy access ISA is flexi, so you can withdraw money from it and then replace it before 5 April 2025.0 -
I am also thinking that my smart isa may also have the bonus until 6 May 2025, but there is nowhere I can see when my bonus rate expires.slinger2 said:

It seems the application link for new customers to apply for the 1Y fixed ISA is still live for the time being though:Umiamz said:

When will Oaknorth and other institutions reopen their 12m fixes?
I have an account with Oaknorth with my 23/24 ISA allowance already but I can't seem to find a way to open another for my 24/25 ISA allowance despite them being listed here.
I've logged in via the website rather than the app but its still the same...I want to transfer something from an other ISA and add £20k new money.....0
