Given isas can be quite large sums, and often more than 10k, i think your use of the phrase "small minority" is a little on the sensationalist side.
it might be news to you, but it is no secret that 95% of the population will have to pay no tax on savings interest when the new PSA kicks in on Wednesday. Which means they'd be throwing money away if they went for ISAs (with the possible exception of the HTB, and LISA next year). By any standards, the remaining 5% is a small minority. It sounds you are part of this minority, and so am I, btw.

I do think there is value in reminding people of the alternatives, but i object to being told what i can and can't say when it is not me who is the one cross-promoting on quite a specific thread.
I have not told you or anyone else what you can and can't say. I have suggested that people should indicate.....see my earlier post.

Pedanticism over semantics doesn't really help, Colsten. There is an implication in your post that we are failing in our duty to other savers by not declaring information about our personal circumstances.

I state, rather than imply, that I "need not", "should not have to", "must not need to", and most certainly "will not", or however you want me to phrase it, add a declarative footer to every post if I notify others about a certain ISA rate.

Martin has created enough editorial and advice in the main section of this site to point less experienced people in the right direction for them. I don't police the loans thread and ask repeatedly whether people have considered 0% credit cards, and nor will I police this thread and continually point out the merits of current accounts.

I do acknowledge though that occasional reminders are a good reality check for many people, including myself.

This is "The Best ISAs currently available List", not the "Every ISA currently available List", so one has to draw the line somewhere.

Yes - but you have to factor in the monetary benefit of the free tea and coffee you can get if you use one of the Virgin money lounges. That may be worth more than the interest if you are lucky to have one nearby - although for some reason their two London lounges are with 250 yards of each other?!

Getting back to matters at hand - any update on the new 3% Saffron regular saver isa offering?

Not to mention that the virgin isa is one of a handful that have confirmed they will offer the new flexible facilities.... Might just swing it?

I'd happily transfer to a cash ISA paying 0% if it clearly states it will allow me to flexibly withdraw previous year money in its T&Cs. But I wouldn't petition for it to be included here ;)

I know what you mean, but it's all a balancing act. 2 of the 4 in that list may be geographically or monetarily out of reach of some people

Do we know if Virgin are definitely doing this - and if so where have they stated it?

They've confirmed to someone else on the forum, and to me via secure messaging.

But it's only for their unrestricted 1.1% isa
