Nope.
I went in to open two Junior ISAs, and they wanted to subject me to a full SYC interview with a spotty young *advisor* that I wouldn't use to advise me on choices of cat food. I opened up with "No I don't want insurance, no I don't want investments, no I don't want anything else apart from Junior ISAs. If we cant proceed on those lines, please introduce me to your manager now".
How much does it cost them to have spotty open the account up, compared to what it would cost them to have me do it at home on tinternet? 100 times as much? 1000 times as much? I guess there are too many fools that will part with their money at these SYC sessions.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

How depressing. I guess I'll move it all to the Post Office or Virgin Money, depending on which is more likely to stay above 1.5% for the longest. Hopefully better ISAs will appear towards the end of March.
Virgin have been very fair with their handling of my historic ISAs. While the rate has dropped, I couldn't beat it by switching.Sealed Pot Challenge #239

Completely agree with how depressing that is. Nationwide used to be quite good at giving existing customers slightly better rates, obviously that is a thing of the past. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

You cannot apply for the Selftrade cash ISA as a new customer, and I doubt they are giving it to existing ones, either.0
