From an earlier post on the board today, looks like the First Direct rates are dropping 1st Nov:

I phoned Yorkshire Bank today to ask about their Cash ISA 40 Day Notice account, one of the ones listed in best buy on MSE.
The woman I spoke to said it was closing tomorrow, but as long as my application was dated today they would accept it. It's in the post now.
Better get a wiggle on if you are thinking about this one!0 -

Perhaps you should make a new post for this as some members may miss it and it is important."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -
Seems like the Leeds BS has changed.
Now there's a 3.05% fix for 5 years (non-withdrawable) that matures 2nd December, and a 25% withdrawable one at 2.9%.0 -

Not sure about closing but Rates are advertised as changing (read reduced) from 1/12/13 - each band coming down 0.5% so your £24K+ will be 2.00%

Hi,
Can I ask you where you've seen this info? I don't seem to find it on Yorkshire bank or Clydesdale bank ISA pages. I was going to transfer in the next few days, but if rates are down to 2% I might as well open a First Direct easy access as I am already a customer...
Thanks0 -

Doh! Thanks!0 -
Britannia Building Society have removed their 1yr and 2yr fixed rate ISA's (to 30/9/14 and 30/9/15) and replaced them with two more (to 31/10/14 and 31/10/15) but paying a lot less0

My wife has 3 fixed ISAs maturing early in December - I am appalled to see that to get 3%+ we have got to tie the money up for another 5 years!
I'm actually tempted to convert one or more to a S + S ISA especially if the Americans don't sort themselves out - could be a very good time to get back into shares if the market bombs!0
